Mythic Battles: Pantheon Marches On To Ever Greater Heights
November 23, 2016 by brennon
Mythic Games has been pushing on with the campaign for Mythic Battles: Pantheon and it has reached new heights, much like the Gods as they clamour and battle for a place on Olympus. The main God Pledge is now somewhat insane and there's more to come.
Another God is joining the mix in the shape of Helios here with that rather cruel looking whip of his.
His Revealing Light ability adds a new mechanic to the game where he will be able to look at your opponent's hand of cards and if he shares a space with an enemy unit he can damn them, reducing their effectiveness. Twin that with his Whip which can strike at some range and you have a way of mitigating the effectiveness of the opponent's forces.
Heroes With Bow & Sword
On the run up to him becoming part of the campaign we also got to see some more heroes like Aegisthus here.
This fellow is no slouch in combat with those twin blades flashing in front of him as he swirls around the battlefield.
His ability to assassinate means that you will be able to send him against the most deadly of foes and complete ignore their mitigating talents. His poisoned daggers then give you more impetus to send him after heroes as they battle on valiantly only to feel a sword in their back.
Taking on foes from range we have the decidedly more honourable Eurytus.
First off with this model we were struck by just how impressive that bow looks. If you're going to be carrying around a magical weapon that's how you want it to end up looking.
He is a good teacher to his fellow soldiers is Eurytus. With Eurytus among the soldiers you will be gaining greater accuracy as you fell your foes from afar. I've always been a fan of archers so it's neat to see him joining the cause.
Drafting Help & More To See
With so many heroes, monsters and Gods now included within the pledge you might need an easier way to draft. Well, that's where these Recruitment Cards come in...
Now added as part of the set you will be able to take this big stack of cards out and use them to decide on what forces you want to bring to the tabletop. Well, if you can get past picking the models that look the coolest of course!
Additionally, it should be noted that the campaign has been doing exceptionally well with their Add-Ons and more. The Titan & Typhon Bundles collect together many of the Add-Ons allowing you to pick up the expansions and more at a discounted price.
Of course, we couldn't end without mentioning the crossover with Conan as we got a look at the Corinthia Expansion which includes a bloomin' flying ape!
So, what are you waiting for? Go and get stuck in with this campaign. It should be noted that they have also been taking full advantage of the live streaming service on Kickstarter too with loads of folks joining to watch them talk about the project so far and showing off a few sneaky peeks at future releases.
Will you be backing?

If BOW do not do a Bootcamp for Mythic Battles: Pantheon, they are insane. The play through video was something I watched just to relax, not really knowing what to expect. I was hooked within a matter of minutes and have pledged my kidneys to get the lot in the KS.
Leo Vesperini is a superstar; Quirkworthy does a fantastic job as the Voice of Olympus (he has the patience of a saint).
We have the Conan crossover. We have more gods, more monsters, more heroes, more troops coming (Myrmidons!) and more titans. Roll on December 2017
Mythic Battles bootcamp, December 2017. Make it so, Beasts of War! 🙂
Welp since I’m in on this campaign I’m certainly looking forward to it. Personally, can’t speak for the other guys, I’d love a Boot Camp for this.
But how would this Bootcamp work? Since I guess most of the participants would already own the entire game. A bring-your-own-warband perhaps?
Wouldn’t it be in the same position as The Walking Dead and Dropfleet Commander, which are having bootcamps around the same time their KS are fulfilling?
Yes. And that worked, since I’m joining the DFC one, even though I have a stack of sprues sitting next to me right now.
But I wouldn’t want/need duplicates of the gods, so that would be a bit different. I’d be less likely to join if it involved getting a second base game box.
We have the Winged Ape 😀 ( Herald of Typhon ), what more could you want ? What’s that you say, the Gods of Olympus fighting alongside ( and against ) heroes and monsters from across the age, then this game has your name on it….How much can you get for a kidney these days ?
would be nice to see one or two hobbylabs next year on how to create you own 3D battlefield for MB:P! It would be nice to see how you guys would approach such a project. 😉
I’d be so in for a Bootcamp too. Wished there was one for Conan too!
If there was ever such a thing as a ridiculously good Kickstarter then this has by far surpassed it. I was blown away by the sheer volume x quality items I got for Conan.
This has gone beyond even that.
I find myself logging on a few times a day now just to see what else is there.
If BoW don’t do a bootcamp for this then the lamp posts on the road from Coleraine to Belfast will be strewn with body parts from every member of BoW…..you have been warned!
I’m with @waywarddarkwolf .
Those are looking really good.
Bootcamp yes yes yes
I haven’t told my wife I’ve bought into this Kickstarter. But it’s a no-brainer… right? I almost feel sorry for Mythic Games.
looking good love the winged ape.
Yes! This would make an awesome boot camp. We would drive to N.I. if we had too! Hey if the guys from Grand Tour can do it, we can too! Right @deltagamegirl22?
Stunning models.
And the next stretch goal is MOM 🙂 – the Mother of Monsters

Another stunning sculpt.
Wasnt Helios a Titan before he sort of got merged/confused with Apollo in peoples writings?
So looking forward to this! Definitely bootcamp material 🙂
We ( will ) have MoM, surely Typhon will follow ? It’s going to be an exciting last week for MB:P.
While we are working on reaching the Echidna stretch goal, some of her children just arrived…

All that for $29!!!! Incredible!
That naughty man Leo teased us with what I reckon is a 3-up resin – not part of the KS but a demo of what can be done.
Feast your eyes folks.
