A Summer Of Infinity
We talk with Carlos about what's coming up for Infinity over the summer including a look at what they're doing at Gen Con this year and also their Interplanetary event which is always a stunning opportunity to check out Infinity.

It's time to get stuck into some of the news from this week...

It’s the Weekend!!
With a weekender full of MBP and Infinity? …
… My hobby cup runneth over!
Just warn me when the KS section is about to start so I can either stop watching, or put in ear-plugs and wear a blindfold for that section… too many good ones on the go at the moment!
Spoiler alert… Justin ruins Leo’s big announcement an hour and a quarter in right at the start of the show!
I know that segment was filmed a while back but – who scripts and edits these shows? Continuity is everything 😉
Talking about continuity… As for Justin’s beard.
Don’t you have a costume shop nearby and enough glue in the studios…?
Scripting! Editing! Have you forgot where you are? 😉
Aren’t you supposed to be cold turkey from the Interwebs by now? Don’t let the missus catch you…
@dignity. For the marble effect you’ll still need some shading … So the AP dip should do that and also give the sheen!
The ancient Greeks were also masters in bronze casted scuptures – so a patina’d bronze effect would work either for a class of model, of for particular models ( e.g. Judges of Underworld)
They also painted them in garish colours. In fact, painting things authentically Greek should be a boon for crappy painters everywhere! lol
Is this a project one that you could bring last Christmas’ air-brush to play?
Interesting marbling possible with an airbrush as well as other techniques…
If Blood skies starter is meant to be the Battle if Britain shouldn’t five it the British fighters be Hurricanes instead?
Bloody glory boy Spitfires…
…if Blackadder had done a series set in WW2 you just know Rik Mayall’s Flash would have been a Spitfire pilot!
(Seriously – full respect to anyone who flew anything in combat in WW2 on all sides – I’ve had the honour of meeting a few!)
There were several Spitfire squadrons operational at the start of the Battle of Britain. Yeah Hurricanes held the majority of the British fighter strength, but the Spits did a lot of fighting too.
Just think the poor old Hurricane with its ability to be rapidly repaired compared to the Spit and the workload it’s squadrons took on, it tends not to get a look in when it comes to BoB games for some reason
The starter set is about that fight.
The add-ons already bring in the Americans (P-51), Japanese (Zero) and Soviets.(Yak)
I’m sure Carlos won’t read this, but on the off-chance you do, livestream the Interplanetary final on Twitch and do commentary on it. Have Killian on co-commentary if he’s at the event 🙂
Justin’s beard grows so quickly he had to shave it off twice during the show! :0
Filming the final would be cool, but it most likely be quite a few tables being filmed. The rankings are so close at the top you might have to film 3-6 games at once.
If they did this It would be even better.
What is the format? Is it not Swiss (with or without a cut)?
If you win the Mythic Battles tournament, Justin, and I’m sure you’ll be entering, then you’ll be a kyrios rather than a lord 🙂
How cruel/vicious were the Greek gods and the Myths? Well in the same way that Leo dropped a mini to see “I wonder what would happen if…” – so the Gods, bored out of their skulls on Olympus, played games with and tested their toys just to see what would happen or for amusement; their toys being humans. Now let’s drop down to a nursery level of behaviour – maladjusted gods were much like badly brought up children.. ‘I want his toy – but can’t have it – so if I make a heavy toy of my own and throw… Read more »
Can anyone remind me who was the Greek equivalent of Cohen the Barbarian (a herothat decided enough was enough so decided to assault the Discworld equivalent of Olympus to challenge the gods)?
Cool!!!!
Now that was a great Weekender. Much better than last week. Keep it up!
Great looking sculpts and map for Mythic Battles: Pantheon. Leo must be one of the most dedicated and successful communicators in the entire industry (the power of the Vertical Hair). I wish I could go to France in September…
Bostria and Leo on the same Weekender?
That’s enough to make the Internet implode on itself!
Respect to the BoW techs for being able to contain all the awesome safely and prevent the collapse of the modern world.
I think we might getting to the bottom of the Justin’s beard mystery. He must have grown it for the interviews to prevent too much awesome escaping, nobly sacrificing it on each occasion.
Great show and I’ll have a pint of whatever it was that Az had been drinking before seeing that windmill!
How can you hold an event in September when we dont get the game until December?
I think it’s called promotion and advertising
I would guess that the components are provided.
Can’t wait for Mythic Battle Pantheon !
Happy Saturday everyone
I would love to see a Mythic Battle: Pantheon in a nordic version. That would be so cool.
Hopefully it won’t be long until we get a new campaign 🙂
Happy weekender.
those beyond operation ice storm/red veil miniatures are just phenomenal.
the job you guys are doing is unbelievable. from rules through miniatures to setting and style you just keep producing. i’m altogether head over heels for infinity right now and they are about to throw a whole load of hotness at me.
definitely a great idea to make the big events inclusive and not elitist. would love to see you continue to develop and evolve that concept.
fantastic choice backing fur and feathers Ben. really very jealous. one day they will be mine.
It was funny when the Blood Red Skies discussion was going on and you mentioned that Warlord are going to be taking suggestions for further planes to bring out.
“Ooh, ooh, ooh! Do the Me262! Do the Me262!” I thought.
Insane minds think alike, eh @dignity?
Happy Weekend All, The folks at Mythic Battles: Pantheon like Leo and Quickworthy on the forums have ruined me! I measure all other KS against this amazing work they have done and they all fail to compare. The constant communication is amazing versus many others who simply go dark with backers on the forum begging for information. If there was a trophy for best game and KS they would win all the awards. I pledged for the Typhon level and I do not regret it. My most anticipated game for 2017. Typically, I purchase games for my gaming group and… Read more »
Great taste in animation Justin, it was title swapped to secret of nimh over here (with nimh being the acronym of an actual lab in Europe somewhere I believe) but it’s some of the best hand drawn animation out there. Redwall and disney’s animated Robin Hood are also good burrows and badgers inspiration.
I read the book. Kids these days…
It’s all about efficiency today, gimme the trailer for the movie of the book and I can take it from there! 🙂 Nimh though really is a masterclass in traditional animation, anybody who appreciates the medium owes it to themselves to hunt the original down and watch it. Stunning stuff.
Happy Weekend to everyone.
Can’t wait for the Infiniyt week and I think that Myamoto in the colouring book is adorable.
new infinity packs seems like nice add
Happy Weekend!
I wouldn’t half mind seeing the Me 163 Komet in Blood Red Skies.
Waiting patiently for my Mythic Battles Pantheon pledge, by Olympus, those minis look gorgeous 😀
Also really looking forward to Joan of Arc and the hinted Norse Pantheon variant of Mythic Battles (Yes Please! Zeus vs Odin showdown ftw :D) and (engage WMG mode 😉 ) perhaps maybe other pantheons *CougthAncientEgyptCough*
Awesome Show Guys! 😀
It amazes me that Deep Cut Studios fabric mats (without the neoprene) don’t get more coverage. We have them for our gaming club and they are awesome. They fold down to A4 size and are only a few mm thick. They don’t hold creases and you can get 20-30 in a small tote box. They don’t work too well if your game surface has level differences or ridges in it but otherwise they are every bit as good as the backed versions.
We do like a lot of the mats from across the board – need to show more of them off for sure.
