Myth Journeyman Kickstarter Launches March 9th & New 2.0 Rules!
March 3, 2015 by brennon
Not only have Megacon Games worked hard on a new 2.0 Set of Rules for Myth but they've also announced that March 9th will be the date for the release of their new Kickstarter for Myth Journeyman which adds two big expansions to the game...
The new expansions take you into the Blackwall Warrens and to the sun-kissed shores of the Shores of Kanis. The artwork looks great and hopefully this means we're going to see all manner of awesome miniatures coming out of this alongside new heroes too.
Additionally it should be noted that the new rules have been penned by the hand of Adam Sadler who wrote the rules for both X-Wing and Descent 2.0 for Fantasy Flight Games so he's done a pretty good job on them!
Check it out and let us know if the changes helped!

Awesome! I’ve put some money aside, I’m ready for it to launch! 😀
I believe there will be an option for those with the current rules and cards to upgrade to 2.0. These will be available at ‘slightly below cost’.
You can get the 2.0 rulebook at the MegaCon site here:

They are still taking comments and corrections if you find something wrong.
or click the link in the post, duh.
I’ll pay more attention next time…derp.
I know I shall be shouted down for saying this … but say it I shall. Adamn Sadler’s rules for Descent 2.0 were terrible. NO idea about Myth … don’t own it … haven’t played it. The game looks interesting though for sure and the minis look very cool! About descent … why do I feel this way you might wonder. But everyone “loves” descent and FFG’s churn of collectible cardboard licensed stuff … just shut up you troll! Beyond that though, don’t take my word for it go read the pages and pages of vitriolic hate for descent 2.0.… Read more »
If you’re looking for a promising dungeon crawler that feels like the old classics, you might want to look in to Dungeon Saga by Mantic. It’s not out yet but the beta rules just dropped and they look alright. They are also promising an in-depth campaign system and co-op play as well as heroes vs overlord.
Check out the rules here
http://quirkworthy.com/2015/02/27/ds-beta-rules-up/ – also includes some terrible looking print and play files if you want to try out the rules.
Two words……Um Yes!!!!!
I actually think that Megacon Games should complete and finish there other Kick-starter before jumping on to another.
That’s because they are megaCONNING bastids.
I’m with you on this vezadecio … it seems very unprofessional to be releasing a new KS fro Myth when I know people who haven’t got all the stuff from the original campaign!
Just to clarify I was talking about the Mercs Kickstarter.
I purchased Myth and have painted all the models, but because we are playing other games, I have not yet had time to play this game yet. For those of you who have played the game, what do you think. Is it a game you go back to time and time again? Has anyone tried to play and been frustrated? If so what were your main complaints? I am just trying to get a feeling for the game before I invest the time it looks like it will take to get into Myth.
I didn’t jump in the last kickstarter campaign but I received the game for Christmas. I’ve only played introduction games with three different groups for now but at least two groups feel like they could play this game regularly (almost as people usually play roleplaying campaings). I have another game scheduled in a couple of weeks so, at least for me, it’s a crazy good investment!
That’s why I’m jumping on the band wagon for the next kickstarter campaign! I wo’t miss this one!
I’ve had this game for about four months before they decide their rules need a rewrite. No thanks.
I got last KS on the last day as the deal was too good to miss. Had a huge wait as a European backer but the mini’s and components are really really good. I have been painting the stuff and if the v2rules are easier to understand I may even get a game in (you can solo too I believe as each tile is more like a co-op puzzle than a full rpg, correct me if I’m wrong). I’d definitely take a punt again though, even if April is looking pretty expensive with the Deadzone expansion KS too (another game… Read more »
Wish they would put this energy into their flagship game MERCS.
I’m still waiting for my Recon pledge.
That and I prefer MERCS to Myth
Also WWX2 is gonna take my Kickstarter attention
And once Iron KIngdoms the UnderCity comes out, It will be my dungeon crawler of choice
Myth is a great game. I got it at a con and bought some extra enemies at gencon.
You’re going to be waiting a while. Some of us only JUST got our Myth pledges.
I got my Sefadu and my FCC, So I can still play regular MERCS
And Like I said, UnderCity will probably be my Dungoeon Crawler of choice.
So I can wait for Recon. Also I got Origins and Gencon to pick up models and stuff from the Megacon guys.
I’m really looking forward to Recon, but not stressed.
Money’s pretty tight at the moment, but I’ve been sitting on my Myth2 money for a while now.
I’ll back day one.
Myth is a bit rough around the edges, but despite this it’s one of the most fun games I’ve played in ages. The new cards and rules should smoothen the edges a bit.
have been looking forward to this for a time.
