We've seen a lot of characters in the competitive card game Unmatched. Whether you want to recruit the demi-god Achilles, send in some Raptors, or recruit a teenage Vampire Slayer for the job. There are many different selection of characters to throw into the arena, in a card and miniatures dual of bespoke battling.

It has been long-awaited news for when players would be seeing Marvel characters join their card-driven battles on the table. Coming this month, Restoration Games announced that we will be seeing the first cohort of these releases on March 7th, with Redemption Row. Featuring Moon Knight, Luke Cage and Ghost Rider.

The announcement was made a while back with hopes of being released in the Summer of last year. With players having access to Deadpool already, everybody has been keen to see the other Marvel titans join the fray. Now with a release date fixed in and a cheeky preview of the Moon Night character, we can hopefully see the rest of the superheroes join in on the skirmish over the course of the year.

Moon Knight Preview // Unmatched Vol. 2

Other than the obvious card staring at us in the face, proving Moon Knight the ability to draw another card in combat if he proves successful, we do not know just yet what he is capable of in his full wrath. However, we can see reference to Mr. Knight, Khonshu the Egyptian God of Vengeance in his favour, and a cheeky melee ability. For now, all we can do is look at that awesome Moon Knight in action.

As I said previously, there are four new Marvel-themed titles heading to Unmatched this year. With confirmed titles, drama in New York at Hell's Kitchen containing Daredevil, Elektra and Bullseye, fighting with teenage angst with Ms. Marvel, Squirrel Girl, and Cloak and Dagger in the Teen Spirit box, and lastly putting patriotism to the forefront with Black Widow, Black Panther, and Winter Soldier in the For King and Country box.

As fun as it would be to place Moon Knight up against Squirrel Girl, it is the combinations that can be created in Unmatched which simply make the game worth playing for me. Whether I choose to pit him up against the likes of Bloody Mary, Bigfoot or Beowolf. I am sure it will become a fight of legends!

Are you looking forward to Unmatched releases this year? Time for me to bring out Buffy, Willow and the Raptors and get some games out of Unmatched.
