What Monstrous Minis are Arising for Shadows of Brimstone?
March 23, 2014 by dracs
Flying Frog Games recently attended the GAMA Trade Show, where they unveiled the sculpts for their successfully kickstarted new board game Shadows of Brimstone.
It looks like Flying Frog Games are living up to their promise that the minis for Shadows of Brimstone will be a better class of sculpts than those usually found in board games, aimed more at miniature collectors and gamers.
The detail and style of these models is very promising with some imaginative and interesting sculpts to be found in the final boxed game. The more I see of Shadows of Brimstone, the more I want to play this new board game when it comes out.
Did you support this Kickstarter? Are you drawn to any of these minis in particular?

I regret I didn’t manage to get on this one! it looks so good, and full of variations. I just hope that the plastic they will choose for the minis will not be the same bendy as Last Night on Earth. which is an awesome game BTW.
They are using a different, harder plastic with an eye towards also pleasing mini painters and such.
I was attracted to the “Steampunk” style human figures. I thought of the other applications I could use them in. As with Robotech and Raging Heroes, it is the time I spend waiting that is making reconsider supporting “Kickstarter” campaigns.
Backed it, Everything shown looks really good, Just waiting patiently ( hurry up already ) to lead a posse down the mines 8)
I cannot wait for this! I backed it mostly just for Beli’al!?1385180372 That model is going to be epic!
I didn’t back this one, and am glad I missed all the drama about pledge levels etc. I think the sculpts – as is often the case with most every company – run the gamut for me from “must have it” to “don’t need it.” None of them are awful. I will wait to see actual production castings before reserving my copy, though. Mostly I’m excited to see what kind of reviews this game gets. I like the theme, and I love this type of game, so if it is positively received, I’ll most likely buy in.
The humans look great, the monsters not so much. They look like Call of Cthulhu pre painted models.
so glad I backed it, just can’t wait for it to me :))))
I backed this and cannot wait till August to get ’em. The sculpts of the hero characters look great which is what sold me on it. The monster sculpts I think will look better with a lick of paint.
Really excited about Beli’al.
Hi all, I got my pledge on Sunday very happy with it so far. I have assembled the minis from one of the box sets they look OK to me. Does anyone have any links to helpful sites for more missions or background.
OK played the first scenario twice my party got beaten to death very quickly both times only playing two heroes still getting use to the game. Anyone got any advice?
