Monolith’s Claustrophobia 1643 Returns With New Soundscape
March 13, 2019 by brennon
Monolith has returned to Kickstarter with their final set of Collector's Edition Box Sets for Claustrophobia 1643.
As we've previously said about this campaign, it's not really a Kickstarter. This is a focused pre-order for a product they have already produced. You will certainly get your game in the post during March with a certain amount of boxes allocated to the different regions around the world.
You can see what's included with the game down below, which is quite a lot.
So, there's quite a lot for you to get stuck into. The miniatures themselves are pretty special for this game and you could spend a fairly hefty chunk of your hobby time just on those!
Horrifying Sounds
Also, for those of you who might have already snapped up this game the first time around there is also the option to pick up the Claustrophobia 1643 Soundscape which provides you with sixty minutes of terrifying music to play your games too.
Soundscapes for games are always a welcome addition and I nearly always have some soundtrack or another playing in the background whilst I'm at the tabletop.
Will you be backing this?

The moods music is a nice interesting touch.
I would buy the game instantly…if it was not for the fact that KS is not supposed to be used solely for distribution of a completely finished product. So I stay away from it. Hope the fact that they did not sell out the first time around will help that this will not be repeated.
I can’t imagine it will, they guessed that they needed to get ~9000 for the first kickstarter and got ~8000 these are the left overs and whatever is left will get left to rot somewhere. It shows that it works as a model and if the alternative is not to make the game at all then they just won’t make the game.
But that is the point…there was never the risk “not to make the game” if not with KS. They already finished producing and only distributed it on KS. That is just plain wrong….and btw violates the rules on KS that there should not be a finished product…but hey…if there is money to be made…why should I care about my own rules 😉
