Monolith Show Off Plastic Barbarian & King Conan Miniature Sets
September 28, 2015 by brennon
Monolith have taken to social media to show off the first images of the miniatures you'll be getting as part of your Barbarian and King pledges for their Conan board game which did insanely well on Kickstarter.
As you can see you get a whole bunch of different 'trooper' style fodder for Conan to plow through. On top of that there are plenty of massive monsters and really interesting characters. The quality looks great, in line with the likes of Journey and Blood Rage.
There are plenty more miniatures on the way for this campaign but I'm glad that it is finally getting to the stage where the plastic miniatures are sitting ready to be put into various packages for backers. I'm sure the wait is going to be very much worth it.
They've been doing a lot of work and the components are looking great in addition to the models. Hopefully when the time comes we'll be able to get a play through of this on the website to show you guys and gals!
What do you think of their progress?

It’s looking really good. I have to applaud the way monolith have handled this so far. There have been delays but they have made sure that people knew about them, and at no stage have I felt anything has been hidden from me. I’ve been reading over AvP Prodos debacle and I just feel so sorry for all the people who pledged, it really seems as though they have been messed about a lot, and the less we say about Dust the better. Obviously Conan hasn’t delivered yet, but they have done all the right things so far, and assuming… Read more »
AvP has been a big mess tbh. Ive been trying since just before Christmas 2014 to sort a problem out. Been told a couple of times that they would get on it…… yup, parcels still went to the wrong address…. and im still trying to sort the same issue out…. without anymore replies from Prodos….. others appear in similar situations with the problems they have too. 🙁
As far I know the only problem Monolith had was getting the funds from Kickstarter after the campaign ended. Everything else has run rather smoothly. I’m very excited for this game and have been listening to the Conan audio books.
Those look really good.
I could see myself with this game. All the materials look good.
Looking good! I have both Journey and Blood Rage, so I expect good things from this game then Brennon! I would say the quality difference between Journey and BR is big though tbh. Both gamea have nice miniatures, but Journey feels long way out in front imho. Mainly because the Journey miniatures feel like wargaming pieces as opposed to board gaming pieces with Blood Rage, which feel more restic and soft.
