Monolith Reviving Reichbusters With Reloaded Campaign In 2025
December 6, 2024 by brennon
Monolith announced as part of their big reveals for December that they are going to be reviving the awesome board game, Reichbusters with a new crowdfunding campaign launching in 2025. Reichbusters Reloaded will see Monolith seeking to save the game and make it available to a new audience.
Reichbusters Reloaded // Monolith Games
After being playtested during a lot of conventions in the last few months, the revamped take on Reichbusters will be available on crowdfunding in Q1 2025. This will take place after Conan: Red Nails and The Savage World of Solomon Kane has delivered.
This new version of the game will feature additional gameplay elements and changes to the original Reichbusters and more details will be coming out about that over the next few months.

Some sneaky teasers already announced by Monolith are that there will be twenty new scenarios spread over three different campaigns. All of this allows you to take on the role of Allies kicking ass and taking names during a Weird World War II.

For those who have the previous version of Reichbusters, you won't have to buy the game again. Monolith will be producing an Upgrade Kit so you just need that in order to play the revamped game. Monolith seems to be doing a great job at the moment of bringing some of these lost projects back to not just crowdfunding but also the retail market. It will be great to see what they are able to achieve as we move into 2025.
Are you going to be having another stab at Reichbuster?

Did try and pick this up at one point, but could never find on ebay at a reasonable price.
Wanted it for the minis mainly as wasn’t impressed with the gameplay videos as it reminded me too much of zombicide. I’ll check out the ks and see if they made any significant improvements, but the price of shipping will likely put me off backing it. Maybe if it gets to retail.
Got it way back, the whole shebang. I never thought of it as comparable to zombicide though. It’s a decent cinematic game, more on the fun scale than the strategic/tactical scale … and best put away for a year or two after a few plays. The minis are nice. I’ve incorporated many of them into Dust Warfare as new options. Pretty much the same scale, about 1/48.
I seem to recall an alarm system for attracting trouble that reminded me of zombicide noise system.
Bustin’ makes me feel good!
I have the OG version. played it a couple of times. The idea of the game is good. But the rules are just to cluncky… I hope the revamp will solve this. If not i will try to sell it.
I cannot wait as Reich Busters has been languishing on my shelf unopened, awaiting a proper rule update to be painted and played…
Excited to see this, love this game and any excuse to get it on the table again!!
Have Monolith basically just bought all of Mythic Games’ licenses?
They were initially companies that worked in collaboration, but then Monolith broke off and became its own thing, taking with it a bunch of Mythic’s IPs, for example, Mythic Battles. I think as Mythic floundered, they scooped up more of its IPs.
A little off in the first bit. Monolith was actually established before Mythic with their Conan Boardgame. Mythic collaborated with them to adapt the original Mythic Battles game to the miniature based tabletop format. The partnership dissolved but Monolith purchased the IP outright and continued on their own with Ragnarok and Isfet.
The last is correct as Mythic imploded Monolith and CMON carved up the remaining IPs.
Poor poor backers of the Monsterpocalypse kickstarter. I was tempted but with the effective deaths of both Mythic and Privateer Press.
Monolith had produced Conan and Batman miniatures games before they worked on Mythic Battles. The only collaboration between Monolith and Mythic in the past was when they worked on the first Mythic Battles Kickstarter, a game predominantly designed and developed by Mythic but for which Monolith undertook quite a lot of the logistics for the compononents, and in particular the miniatures. Monolith took over the Mythic Battles license before the kickstarer had fully delivered and they the companies have never worked together since. However, recently, Monolith seem to have snapped up Solomon Kane and now Reichbusters. Monolith have had their… Read more »
Will be interested in the update vs, had the original and it was fun, and kept us entertained during both the initial lockdown in painting all the minis and during the lockdown break when we plyed most of the base game scenarios.
To put anything that was touched by Leo (Pascal) and Mythic Games on to crowdfunding seems a bit tone deaf.
I will back this.
My group had a blast with the original version, so an option to play a whole new set of games with a new ruleset is really cool.
