Life Finds A Way In Mondo’s Jurassic Park: The Chaos Gene
July 20, 2018 by brennon
Mondo Games has shown off the first look at Jurassic Park: The Chaos Gene. If you've ever wanted to rampage around as a T-Rex and ruin everyone's day then you now have the chance to do so!
Jurassic Park: The Chaos Gene is a two to four player game where you choose one of four factions to play as. You can play as InGen, Park Visitors (Survivors more like...), the Raptors of the T-Rex.
Each of the factions plays entirely differently with their own focus and goals as you play through the game. There will be plenty of options for exploration and a focus towards fulfilling your scenario goals on a set of modular tiles which make the game replayable between different sessions.
I like the idea of having a game where there is a heavy focus on there being four distinctly different ways to play. It means at its base level you can give this game a go four times and hopefully have an entirely unique experience.
The miniatures they have planned for the game are looking rather awesome. I have always had a big soft spot for dinosaurs and collected all the magazines that came with the glowing T-rex bones when they were out during my childhood.
This game might be one to check out if you want to scratch that Jurassic Park itch.
What do you think?

Pftt, what a stupid idea for a game. *Checks wallet*
I know, they think people will buy anything these days. *checks moonunits wallet*
It’s empty, fyi
I have a 4 year old who can’t stop pining over my ‘paintings’ as he calls them, he absolutely loves them and loves Jurassic Park, I think if he walked in and found a T-rex on the paint table he may well faint
Looks good, you guys should do a Let’s play once it is released.
This is from the first set of film’s ?
From the first film yes
Those models do look good but I can’t really say anything about game itself.
Looks very cool!
While it does look cool , the small print at the bottom of each picture says not final ,pending licensor approval . Maybe all the rights to these figures isn’t locked down yet ? Would it be just as fun to play with generic characters ? IMO , no . Hopefully they get this sorted
Would love to see more components – and a playthrough – but let’s just say I’m VERY interested in this game.
Are there any news on this?
