Hunt For Ancient Civilisations & Mining Rights In Magnastorm

The team at Feuerland Spiele are going to be taking you on a journey into outerspace with Magnastorm which should be playable at Essen SPIELE '18 this year.
Here's some of the background behind Magnastorm to get you excited for the game...
"When the first exploration vessels entered the cloudy atmosphere of the planet Magnastorm, they discovered not only evidence of abundant natural resources, but also the remains of a long-lost civilization. At the bidding of the magistracy, scout vehicles are lowered to the barren surface to search for suitable mining areas."
The game plays with between two and four players and follows you as you fight for control of the planet and its mining rights as well as the lost technology of ancient civilisations.
Using a degree of worker placement and action selection you will be looking to take control of the board territories and complete a certain amount of objectives to gain bonuses and more. The game is very much in the Euro vein in that it has very little luck and it is all down to the skilful play of those around the tabletop.
Interestingly the game also comes with a balancing mechanic for those who play the game multiple times. After each game players will gain Reward Cards which should help to balance the varying skill levels of those around the table, helping you out if you're a new player or can't quite get your head around the mechanics.
Being a big fan of space-based games this one certainly has me interested and hopefully, we'll be able to get a better look at it this year at SPIEL '18.
Will you be taking a closer look?
