The Mighty Titan Atlas Joins The Mythic Battles: Pantheon Kickstarter
November 5, 2016 by brennon
Mythic Games have announced some stunning new additions to the world of Mythic Battles: Pantheon. One of those is possibly the biggest model given away for free during a Kickstarter, the Titan known as Atlas...
Titan will become unlocked at the $500k level and will be a Kickstarter Exclusive. You can see him here standing next to a regular Spartan and I think you'll agree he lives up to the title of 'Titan'.
You can see how he measures up against a God over on the sculptors page too, Stephane Simon.
He is quite the sight I think you'll agree and its neat seeing them go with the four arms, helping him hold up the sky.
It truly is a masterpiece and I like the scarring and such worked into the model. Hopefully all of that comes across in the final miniature we get.
The Heat Of The Forge
This also comes off the back of the Hephaestus Expansion where you got some equally massive and dangerous models like Hephaestus himself...
...and Prometheus who you will know as the Titan who gave fire to humans. Both models look utterly awesome!
I think you'll agree that at present it seems like Mythic Games are knocking it out of the park when it comes to this game. With neat mechanics, a good drafting mechanic behind the game, and some fabulous models it would be hard not to get involved with this one.
Will you be backing this one?

I’m really stoked I backed this. It’s the first Kickstarter that I have backed as I’ve always been a bit dubious about Kickstarter…. The models are awesome…
Obviously, every Kickstarter is a Risk, but they have a massive one under their belts (Conan) – a couple of issues, but lots learned from that.
For this one, we have already seen maybe 100 models already sculpted and test production has already started on the core products.
Things can and do go wrong, but as KS go this looks to be as well planned as any we have ever seen.
So I would relax now and enjoy the ride over the next 25 days or so 🙂
I hate you guys … 😉
Stop posting such pretty pictures and positive recommendations for these things.
My wallet told me to say that.
Conan only ran a year late ;p Got mine this week.
The plastic models are great. Only issue I have with them are the bending weapons.
The boards and everything else seems great quality. So worth the wait.
They will be change the plastic used for the weapons in MB. So it shouldnt be an issue.
I am all in for this one. really looking forward to it 🙂
This Kickstarter is going crazy! What you get for $99 (£80) is insane. And it still has 26 days to go!
I’m mighty tempted to back this….. although I have no idea where i’m going to put the thousands of Kickstarter exclusive miniatures that will definitely get unlocked by the time its over….
I mostly backed this for the models – I will use it as a painting project. My boys refuse to play anything that is not either Rugby or plugged in to a TV…. 🙂
Just 35k to go until Atlas is unleashed into MB:P 😀 . Conan KS was great, this is going to be awesome.
@olly . Go for it, you won’t be disappointed.
Likewise this is my first kickstarter but the minis are amazing
The last thing I need is a new game to learn and a 100 minis in my lead/resin/plastic pile, so I’m not going for the whole game. However I’d pick up that Titan if it was available as a single item add-on.
@osbad – the game is really easy to learn. BoW have some videos showing all the rules. Once you have the basics (less than one game) you just need to know the special powers of each unit, and you have them written on the cards in front of you 🙂
I watched that video and it did look good. The reality is though I have a bazillion games sitting around and another game, however good would get one play and then sit gathering dust for ages. I’ve got lots of games I like playing and not enough time to play them all. Its not a condemnation of the game, just a recognition that I don’t have much time to play what I’ve got already. Right now I’m in a space where I want to squeeze more fun out of what I’ve got than spend time and money acquiring too much… Read more »
I’m glad I backed this. The rules are straight forward (thanks BOW for the demo game).
The miniatures look awesome. And the price is very good for what you get and is getting better with each stretch goal that is unlocked. Just look at Atlas, he’s huge.
I like the rules (That I’ve seen). Many games try to have as few rules as possible, and most end up being plain dumb.
This is one of the rare few that seems to get the right balance between simple rules and rich and rewarding gameplay.
Now roll on Hera, Aphrodite and Hecate and the rest.
They have also pointed out in the Kickstarter comments that they will have several campaigns and that the Hephaestus Expansion add-on is a narrative campaign in 6 scenarios that has several twists and ending surprise that fear to reveal because they do not want to spoil the surprises in the campaign. So, in addition to being very approachable, it will also have a story driven component as well. I am hoping they release more scenarios in the future. I have young children and nieces and nephews and has them excited enough that we went to the library today to pick… Read more »
Thank Zeus I have a year to get my airbrush/painting skills up. I will be hitting all the painting videos and lessons on this website as well.
BTW, there will be a painting guide that will be an add-on for those who want a painting guide for all the mini’s
Over the course of the year while I wait I am also building a display case to display them all. These are so well done it would be a shame to have them hidden in a box on shelf.
Remember Guys… if you Back this KS now, you will propably get one Atlas for Free if we unlock the Stretch Goal… FOR FREE… Atlas is huge… So go and get into this KS, the Community is awesome, and we have the best Community Manager at complete Kickstarter – The Voice of Olympus… Mr. Quirkworthy himself. ^^
It’s only 20k until we do unlock Atlas…Oh gods, i’m turning into the countdown guy…
There are worse things to become, like the ‘take the last piece of pizza when you’ve already had your two’ guy.
Those are very nice. I would love to see they take on Kratos from God of War games.
Perhaps they will take on Kratos from the Original Greek Mythologie 😉 But please, no lookalike….
I don’t always back KS-projects, but when I do it’s Mythic Battles: Pantheon!
they all look brilliant.
Have just backed this, to include the two expansions – so excited!
Awesome models this company is blowing me away with their stuff. For those who don’t know Hephaestus is the one who made Achillies armour.
I think they missed a joke by not having Atlas shrugging but I really like the left arms setting up the uppercut/haymaker
Been catching up on a few photo’s and Ajax is looking like, i believe the proper term is ” a proper hard bastard “. There are others which look good, Hera, Chiron and Anteus in particular ( that i could identify anyway ).
Dam you @warzan I have only watched the weekender and was enjoying having a stress free chill day until you mentioned Titans, now I’m $150 pledged and target counting all twitchy and hyper like a fat chap in a cake shop.
I dare not watch the Xlbs show for fear of yet more peer pressure, you made me do it……..
I watched the play through between Warzan and Justin with Leo giving them suggestions, information and spending a lot of time laughing (‘Un-killies’). There are so many potential pros and cons to taking any course of action you really do get a sense of Fate taking a hand.
So I have backed this (I also backed Conan and that tonnage is stunning!)
I think this looks like a fantastic game and is made so much more accessible and well articulated by the inclusion of Jake Thornton in the team. It will also mean no (English) language howlers in the rules either. I’m not up on my Greek mythology but I can’t believe there are that many characters left for the company to release after the kickstarter is over given the sheer number of models they are giving away. @quirkworthy is there any news on post kickstarter plans, how will the game be supported going forward? Oh, I’m in by the way, you… Read more »
@sniperbait – (nice name by the way) – in terms of supporting MBP after the KS, well we’ve got a number of ideas. Organised Play seems like a natural fit, and the people I know who are into all that and spend their weekends in tourneys bent my ear for ages about the details of setting those up, prize support, etc. The Mythic Tour lot already ran a test tourney in Paris a couple of months back, to test it out on the ground. So that’s happening. We’d also really, really like to bring other mythologies into the game. I’ll… Read more »
Wow! Fabulous!
Great looking minis!!
Well I am into this for $148 now with the main game and the expansion… I said that I would not back any more KS after the CMoN cock up but this was just too good to miss and seeing it run like it has…wow
Will the Titans be used as rock hard monsters or as alternative choices to Gods? I haven’t been able to find an answer just yet.
They are a god choice. They take up the god slot in your warband, and cost you 2pts. In Prometheus’ case, despite being a titan in the mythology, in the game he is used as a monster.
Thanks redben. I couldn’t find that information anywhere on the KS page.
