Two New Mighty Creatures Come To FFG’s BattleLore
August 7, 2015 by brennon
Fantasy Flight Games have shown off two new creature packs which are now available to add to your games of BattleLore 2nd Edition. Striking from the skies and the mountains we have both the Mountain Giant and Great Dragon...
Lord Of The Mountain
This impressive looking Giant not only gets itself a nice stat card and a bunch of actions but also a scenario which showcases just how powerful they can be on the tabletop...
"You can loose the fury of a Mountain Giant upon your foes with the aid of the Mountain Giant Reinforcement Pack. This gigantic warrior seldom descends from the mountain fastnesses of Terrinoth, but on the battlefield, he’s a dangerous combatant.
The heavy swings of his club can force even the doughtiest units to retreat, and if a cautious opponent decides to stay at long range, the Mountain Giant can throw massive boulders to bombard your foes from afar."
Lord Of Fire
The Dragon also has some powerful abilities and also comes with a scenario where both armies start on the same side of the board and are in a race to destroy the Dragon and steal its treasure for themselves...
"You’ll also have the chance to loose billows of flame upon your enemies with the aid of a Great Dragon . The Great Dragon flies high above the battlefield, and its Mighty ability allows it to reroll any heroic results that it receives during combat!
What’s more, you can draw lines of fire across the field with Flame Breath and damage an enemy unit adjacent to your target. Whether you dive-bomb a unit or blow fire across multiple units, the Great Dragon is a force to be reckoned with."
BattleLore is quite the impressive wargame from Fantasy Flight and it's great to see some big models like this popping up. I like the idea of mixing things up with additional scenarios too.
What do you think?

That is one well eaten giant. That Great Dragon looks rather nice.
I’d love to know how tall the Giant is, just to see how he compares to 28mm figs. I like the sculpt but he’d be used for other games.
