Megacon’s Banner Saga Board Game Fundraising November 12th
November 6, 2015 by brennon
Megacon and Stoic have joined forces to bring a fantastic board game to the tabletop based on the hit PC game, Banner Saga. Banner Saga: Warbands is going to evoke the feeling of the game and features amazing plastic miniatures representing both your own warband and the enemy...
Warbands will have you travelling with a group of Humans and Varls (giants) as they hope to outrun the dangerous Dredge that are seeking to drive you out of your homeland and burn everything in their wake. You will take on the role of one of the warband leaders.
Each role has their own situations that need to be resolved but you must also balance that against your companions needs. If one role becomes too powerful the others will suffer and so will the Warband as a whole. Join this together with well designed choice and consequence gameplay, interesting narrative scenarios, and combat that takes just ten minutes and you have the makings of a wonderful game.
You can hear more about what we think of Banner Saga: Warbands on The Weekender ahead of a Kickstarter fundraiser on November 12th.
I LOVE the PC game and can't wait for this...

Loved Banner Saga, but never had much love for Megacon left. Hope they will deliver a mature product this time.
I’d settle for them communicating with backers in a mature fashion (and vice versa)…..
holy hell must have
Excited the Banner Saga is going tabletop, I also hope that Megacon will do the job right the first time.
The same Megacon that’s closing the PM on Myth KS tonight before telling us how much the Postage for the two waves of delivery are (first one – providing patch to original KS content – being charged only next week apparantly)? Might give this a miss…
Yeeees. It’s funny how they always improve the communication on their KS’s when they have a campaign and/or pledge manager due to close….
Over £300 currently sunk across Recon (1yr overdue) and Myth 2 (wave 1 just behind schedule)… asking for more money in Myth 2 PM (without disclosure of shipping costs)… lots of backers on the brink of revolt…
In a nutshell 2 projects already behind the curve with lots of backers on the brink of revolt… Don’t get me wrong the people at Megacon are nice, well intentioned people that just lack certain skills dealing with their KS audience. The people that need their head examining at this stage are Stoic!
