Mantic Games’ Roguish League Of Infamy Now On Kickstarter
October 29, 2019 by brennon
Mantic Games are now live on Kickstarter with their campaign for League Of Infamy, an occasionally cooperative dungeon crawler where you play as dastardly villains who are looking to balance the scales across the world of Pannithor.
In the core adventure for the game, you're going to be playing as a band of awesome looking villains who are looking to invade an Elven stronghold and put an end to their project which is raising a mighty army of Drakons. As well as rushing through the halls slaying everything you can you might also have to deal with your 'friends' around the table who are trying to be the ones who come out the other side with more bragging rights.
This here is the balance of the game. As well as trying to one-up each other you've also got to make sure the quest is completed. Occasionally you do have to work together but you will still be keeping a close eye on your companions. Here is the full-on pledge for the game...
As you can see this shows off pretty much all of the options that you'll be getting as part of this campaign. As well as the core villains there is also an expansion in the mix as well as a bunch of additional characters and creatures you're going to be bumping into along the way.
Mantic Games really has pushed the boat out with the sculpts here and I love what they've done for not only the villains but also the 'good guys' as well who are probably very annoyed at these pesky folks coming in and ruining their plans.
Learning About The Game
If you wanted to find out more about the game, we had a chat with Mantic about it in an interview a few days ago...
...and T&G Productions talked with James and Sophie about the gameplay itself and how it works on the tabletop.
So, you can delve in and find out more about League Of Infamy in the videos above and then let us know if you'll be backing this campaign.

I’ve gone all in.The whole feel and set-up for this is great and it’s now creeping up on £100k.The renders look superb ( particularly the Trident Realms mini’s ) and the Halfling sculpts are excellent and a lot of fun as well.
Vanguard crossover cards or no deal.
I don’t think you’ll have to worry,i’m fairly sure the stuff from League of Infamy will end up in both Vanguard and KoW ( as new sculpts / armies / units / characters ) in the future.
yup, this is being built as a standalone game. The fact people play other things means nothing to a lot of people. For those of us who do play KoW or Vanguard there will be rules down the line. But I expect them to come post retail launch of the game.
I’ve been trying to stay away from ks, but I have snapped up an early bird.
Not sure about the game itself, but some of the minis are great for RPG’s… and at least it’s UK based so Brexit (if it ever happens) will have no impact
there is a 90min play through and the beta rules are available online. From what I’ve seen it’s simple and a lot of fun if you have a regular group it can be hilarious as friends play off each other.
The figures that are coming out do look stunning.
Will see the game video later.
the game looks great and the players loved it by the fun they had.
Love the new elves.
Hope they remake all the elves to look like that.
I’m still looking for a cheap elf army. 🙂
Not sure if I’ll play this but I definitely want the figures for my KoW and Vanguard
Unicorn riders and Owlbears – Forces of Nature are getting reinforcements in a year or two.
Tempted. Very tempted. But I think my resolve to stay off kickstarter is holding…
Nice stuff, but realistically I can’t see me playing it. I went big on Dungeon Saga and Star Saga and they only saw the table for one run through each Too many games, too little time and all that. I’d just be buying it for the minis and frankly I have more than enough in the pile of shame to be getting on with.
Its great to see some Drakon love from Mantic after all this time though!
I have a few Dungeon Saga and Star Saga and not fond of the rules, but the minis see use at the RPG table, the terrain in particular. Hopefully we’ll get terrain for this too. I can see those hobbits making an appearance in Middle Earth Strategy game and the villains are great bosses for RPG’s. I know what you mean about too many games and ks, I still have some that haven’t made it to the table, it’s why I stopped backing on KS, but it’s been over two years since I backed anything and I’m finally making some… Read more »
I am already ….. ….. ……. …. *sigh* heavily invested in this kickstarter (how bland ! ***deeper sigh***). It is magnificent.
It is interesting that the seem to be using it to release models for the good and neutral KoW/Vanguard factions which don’t have models(Rhordia) have models but have gaps (Forces of Nature/Neritica) or have really old models which need updating (Elves). It’s all win. Keep up the good work Mantic
