Mantic’s Hellboy Kickstarter Date + A Reveal Of Angel Giraldez’s Painted Heroes!
April 10, 2018 by brennon
Mantic Games has announced the Kickstarter launch date for Hellboy: The Board Game. You will be able to get stuck in from April 25th!
This announcement of a Kickstarter launch date also came alongside a preview of Roger the Homunculus here. He is a creature said to be brought to life through alchemy and other strange eldritch means. He has fought alongside the B.P.R.D many times and if you'd like to learn more about him you can check out the Wiki HERE.
Angel Giraldez Reveals Hellboy Heroes!
Take a look at the painted models by Studio Giraldez for three of the main Hellboy heroes and Rasputin. We start with Hellboy of course...
Hellboy
Liz Sherman
Johann Kraus
Rasputin
...and here is the whole group together looking awesome. It certainly shows off, even at this early stage, how well these models are taking the paint!
The characters you'll be playing as are looking very cool indeed and we can't wait to take some looks at the board and of course the mechanics!

Can’t wait to see these at Salute.
Wow, lovely.
Giraldez is awesome, but the sculpts are also great
fantastic looking figures.
That’s just bad timing. I’m backing Godtear and wanted to see what Hellboy had to offer before I decided which to stick with. Hellboy launches two days after Godtear ends.
Trying to be selective on ks projects and don’t need both.
These might be some of the best sculps from Mantic yet. And Giraldez making magic (again) xD
Very very interested in how this game plays.
Yes, these might be solid figures. Alas, you can’t discern much of the sculpt itself. I always find it quite irritating and a self-contradictory approach to advertising not to put the actual product in the spot light. They’re not trying to sell me the paint job, are they now? …and I’m not talking about renders. Btw, I grieve the art direction for Rasputin’s miniature. His character has a far more sinister, solemnly threatening, brooding aura. Even in classical mad scientist and villain situations he’s aloof and mad in a serious way. And this paint job makes the sculpt’s mismatch even… Read more »
The production molds haven’t been made, so they’d only be able to show the resin masters.
James Hewitt of Gorechosen and Warhammer Quest, designed Hellboy. Now, I’m interested!

Where is the “all in” button?
Stunning paint job like always from Angel Giraldez.
This will be my first Kickstarter.
Lovely minis, but will be holding off til retail.
I can’t wait to see how the Kickstarter progresses.
As usual, awsome paint job by the master!
Models looks very good too
i must say i love that they have chosen to sculpt him after the original art work from the dark horse comics
Looking interesting. As the infamous bear-wizard is writing the rules I believe, this is sounding like an impressive package – first class minis, wonderful art, excellent backstory and a great rules writer. What’s not to love?
