Mantic Focuses In On Deadzone Expansion & Mars Attacks
June 26, 2014 by brennon
Mantic Games recently talked about their focus for the next couple of months and it's really down to both Deadzone and Mars Attacks. You can read Ronnie's chat in full HERE but let's kick off with them looking at Deadzone and new factions!
The full focus appears to be on Nexus Psi and then powering onto release things like that brilliant Strider followed by Forge Fathers and Asterians. I completely missed how cool those Brokkr are looking and I could certainly see myself picking up some of these models even if I didn't get heavily into Deadzone! There's still a lot to see from Deadzone and it should be ace seeing how much it expands over the next few months in the run up to more from Warpath too.
Mars Attacks: The Miniatures Game will also be heading out later this year. The game will be hitting in September and comes with pre-assembled and coloured plastic marines and aliens and also a twist on mechanics we've seen in Deadzone with the added use of cards and such. All very neat.
On top of all of that Mantic are also focusing in on a bit of a World Cup losers deal and you can read about that HERE. Once your team is out of the competition you'll be able to pick up codes from the blog and Facebook page to see how much of a deal your national football team is getting you.
What are you excited for when it comes to the future of Mantic?

The new Forge father stuff looks great, not as impressed with the Asterians, maybe the slightly weird Dunkelgelb colour scheme? Can’t wait till big kickstarter box arrives and I can have a proper look though, especially the plastic enforcer sprues.
Agree that those Forge Fathers look awesome. Anyone know when they will be available outside of the Kickstarter (at retail?)
The Mars Attacks stuff looks really good as well, extremely characterful!
I should get an excellent World Cup deal, as Canada didn’t even qualify… again.
Hopefully we’ll see the nameless, ver-Myn, portal spinners, and a few more races in Deadzone!
Looks like I’ll be getting more minis for Deadzone. Oh, well the kids didn’t to eat more than once a day anyway.
