Mansions Of Madness Investigators Follow The Path Of The Serpent

Fantasy Flight Games' Mansions Of Madness steps beyond the bounds of just one creepy house as your investigators find themselves exploring crumbling ruins and the secrets of a lost civilisation in Path Of The Serpent.
The new expansion includes three new scenarios where you'll do battle with terrifying serpent creatures, stone monstrosities and threats from nature itself as the jungle itself comes alive around you. It isn't all fighting however as new puzzles and mysteries also tax your brain as well as your brawn.
Four new investigators are added in this box alongside some well-known monsters. You'll also see some wonderfully updated tiles covered in beautiful artwork. All of this runs alongside the app for the game, of course, making this a great cooperative affair.
Whilst some might still baulk at the idea of including digital elements into their tabletop games, I think they do a great job of making things more exciting, especially when done properly. Mansions Of Madness makes use of the app to keep the tension high. It also means that the puzzles can be more intricate and diverse, rather than having to rely on physical components.
This looks like a great new direction for Mansions Of Madness, adding something very different into the mix for your investigators!

I bought original Mansions and the two big box expansions… then upgraded to version 2 plus added Beyond the Threshold expansion, but restrained myself on the others. It’s a good game and works well solo, but it takes such a long time to play. For some reason most of the Arkham Horror games take 3-4 hours (although Eldritch Horror I can do solo in 2hrs as there’s no time wasted debating the plan… one person can plan quicker than a team), which is a pity as it means I can’t get the game out often. Sound’s good like Jumanji meets the house with the clock in the walls.
I will buy it indeed, like I’ve bought everything else in the range (and never have been disappointed!).
The prospect of going “outside” in the jungle is quite attractive!!!!
