March 19, 2015 by deltagamegirl22
The wildly successful, Polish, board game The Lord of the Ice Garden has made it's way onto Kickstarter as a 2nd edition. This game from RedImp, features highly tactical game play with lovely miniatures and beautiful artwork, in which players will use their influence and miniatures to battle and dominate the regions of Midgaard.
The game is based on the popular fantasy novels of the same name by author, Jaroslaw Grzedowicz, and players will take the role of one of four scientists from earth, lost to the allure of magic and power. Game play allows for varied setup, unit abilities and win conditions, which means that no two games will every be the same.
The beauty of this game is that it can capture the attention of many types of gamers: boardgamers, miniature gamers and fantasy gamers- all neatly stowed in one beautiful box. The game has been play tested for well over a year now and with rave reviews.
Will you be battling to be the Lord of the Ice Garden in Midgaard?

I is good game and great story but why cant they just contact us company and invest money to print it? why is it always has to be kickstarter?
Simply down to exposure. People come across new projects all the time by browsing Kickstarter. For it to be announced anywhere else asking fo rinvestment they wouldn’t reach the same number of people. Plus, Kickstarter already has the platform in place to manage pledge levels and handle payments.
the figures are good.
Kickstarter is an awesome arena for war-gaming. I’ve really benefited from Kickstarter over the past 2 years.
