Get Stuck Into A Lovely Meal With Gamewright’s Sushi Roll
February 12, 2019 by brennon
Gamewright is expanding upon the yummy world of Shushi Go with Sushi Roll. This is a dice-based version of the well-loved card game and it's looking like a neat new take on the game for someone who might not have played a 'Sushi' game before.
The game features a similar mechanical idea to the traditional card game where you pick a sushi dice and then pass the rest. You are looking to focus in on combinations as per usual too but you also have ways to re-roll dice and effectively change the set-up between passes as well. This adds another element to the game which is neat.
If you've played a Sushi game before then I don't think you'll need to pick this up, however, if you are going to get stuck into tabletop games then I could see this being a nice entry point. Sit down with some friends or your family and you'll have a blast with this.
Also, how perfect a name is Sushi Roll?
What do you think?

don’t cook just eat ?
Sushi Go was perfect, I was hoping for an expansion.
Never knew about nor played the original. I love sushi. Normally I dont like the cuddley cuteesy type of board game, nor the game that focusses on a lot of cards or lacks miniautres… but sweet holy Krypton I was this.
