Let’s Play – Tao Long
October 24, 2018 by ludicryan
Today Ryan and Cass sit down for a game of Tao Long from Thundergryph.
The Dragons of Heaven and Earth duke it out on the material plane to see who will lord over humanity for the next hundred or so years.
The game takes place across two boards: the Ba Gua or spiritual phase lets players decide what movement they will take whilst the map board shows the movement and consequences of these actions.
What is most interesting about this game is how it uses the Mancala family of board games to form the Ba Gua.
Which of the elements between mountain, lake, wind and thunder most resembles your approach to life?

Has to be Billy the blue ranger
Ahhhhh that’s interesting that you say Billy. I don’t think he ever got enough love in the original series!
If you like Tao Long, you should take the time to play Spirits of the Forest as well. Very beautiful game as well and very strategic.
ooh sounds interesting! Must give it a try!
It does look like a ripper of a game and Cass is right it is beautiful in it’s simplicity. Thanks so much for sharing it
Thanks for watching – it’s so much fun to play!
