Gerry sits down with Sam Healy across continents to run through a scenario of this grim-dark title. Coming together on Tabletop Simulator, the pair take four characters each to try and survive constant attacks from the shadows lurking in the forest.

I gave it again…. but tabletop sim… sucks the life out of me watching trying to turn a card over or pick up dice…
I have to agree about the tabletop sim. I was going to buy it, but this video put me off. Some of my older gaming buddies wouldn’t take to it at all.
It exists in the real world as well as a heads up. It’s not digital.
I meant I was not going to buy Tabletop Sim.
Hel looks interesting, but it looked a bit too complicated. And, to be honest, not overly sold on setting. I like my Viking fantasy to be more’historical’ – now if this was a retelling of Egil’s Saga or Njal’s Saga then I might have been interested. Then again, there is probably a Saga I don’t know of that fits this perfectly 🙂
Fingers crossed we get a “single player” of course.. there is a bug about, play though on somebodies table to let the game shine. Board games are to be touched, pieces moved around in our hands and if you like me only play with painted pieces… ( its a curse i know ). I had a peek at gangs of the undercity… 1 minute i said no, i cannot enjoy watching something from a zx81 ( showing my age.. i mean wisdom ). But somebody must have a physical copy they can play for us…. cheers and be well

What did you like about it? What aspects of the gameplay particularly interested you? What would you like to see changed/developed before the final product is shipped?
I like the cooperative aspect to help finish the tasks.
Thank you, sirs, for doing this. My son talked me into backing the Vorpal board so we can play Oathsworn and Edge:Dawnfall across the Atlantic. I can see why he is making me watch this, though, for another candidate. Excellent miniatures and the game is cheery and uplifting. Reminds me of the time I drove the herd home from summer pasture during an October snowstorm.
@avernos…I thought you guys were doomed, given the way even virtual dice torture you, but I got especially worried when your intrepid sidekick cried out, “Ouchy!” when the first three vermin appeared. Read the hero’s manual for pity’s sake. Heroes are not allowed to say “ouchy” over a few rodents appearing.

@avernos Be of good cheer, Wookish One. I have found there is no trap clever enough to survive a tidal wave of armor saves by the enemy, or a bucket of ones by your general (depending on the game). There is always MeG on the way (nope, nope, dice involved there too) so I guess it’s To The Strongest! for you. I think I have been playing WoE with the grandsons and building them Gates of Antares models for new SciFi armies because ones are good in Priestly world. Have you seen the miniatures for Hel up close and personal?… Read more »

Mythic games just got back to me…. as for a play though with a real physical product the problem is they don
t have physical copies to show off because of the C-Virus.. So its not about finding 2 people in the same room its about having the product in there hands... thats a bugger…
