The Knight-Atrapos Strides Into Battle From Forge World
October 16, 2015 by brennon
Forge World have a fantastic new Cerastus Knight available over on their website for the Mechanicum. The massive Knight-Atrapos is armed to the teeth and looks like it has stepped out of a 70's or 80's movie when it comes to design...
"One of the rarest and most potent Knights, the Knight-Atrapos is a unique variant type of the Cerastus pattern. Bearing particularly rare and potent weaponry of annihilation, the Cerastus Knight-Atrapos was created solely to destroy heretek engines and xenos war machines whose very nature and existence were considered a blasphemy to the Omnissiah."
"The Cerastus Knight-Atrapos carries arcane and devastating weapons into battle; the focussed and deadly Atrapos lascutter, that sees duty as both a ranged and close combat weapon, and the violently destructive, but potentially unstable, graviton singularity cannon.
With the speed and shielding of the Cerastus chassis, and the Knight-Atrapos’ Marco-extinction Targeting Protocols, the Cerastus Knight-Atrapos is an uncommonly destructive weapon of war."
Now that is a deadly looking Knight. I wasn't overly convinced about it when it first popped up in my email inbox but when I took a proper look at it I think it's fantastic. All of it looks like it works and I think they've gone into some amazing detail when it comes to the workings beneath the armour panels.
As well as the Knight you also get this Knight Scion who pilots the massive walkers in Warhammer 40,000. He comes free with this Knight if you order it now...
He doesn't really look like he fits into the aesthetic of Warhammer 40,000 which is quite odd. Something about him reminds me of a pilot from an old TV series or a racing driver from the future.
Some more amazing work from Forge World or are you over these massive walkers now?

Am yet to purchase a Knight for use alongside my various 30K armies…… have a feeling this may be the first one
I must say that’s rather Necron looking Knight. That Knight Scion has very british gentleman look.
Had to double take on the knight scion, thought he was a bloodbowl mini when i first glanced at the pose!, the paint job doesnt help either with the “27” on the chest
The knight looks frickin awesome though 🙂
I do like the design of this one, though I think I’d rather convert an original Imperial knight into one of these, rather than buy one.
As for the pilot, I agree, he doesn’t look like he fits the 40k aesthetic. Maybe a different paint job, with less of a racing driver feel could change that.
I wish I could buy that Knight Scion separately, I love the mini, I just cant afford the titan..
You just need to find someone buying the titan that hates the mini. He seems like he might divide opinion.
Maybe if the pilot were painted to match the Knight, which really does look more like a Necron device and is very reminiscent of the little epic Knights.
It’s nice, is it £175 nice? As single model, and as nicely designed as this is, it really just doesn’t make the grade for me.
looks good love the ID4 gun thing is that lord flashheart as the pilot?
not keen on the colour to bland.
I like the knight… but don’t love it. The design is interesting, but not amazingly cool.
I do love the pilot however. He’s one of the most characterful minis I’ve seen GW produce in ages. I’ll have a look through the rest of the knight range and see if there’s one I like enough to order to be able to get this guy!
The pilot is an odd choice, but the Knight-Atrapos itself looks the business.
Just picked mine up at the WHW 40k Open Day 😀
