Knight Models Watch Out For Creepy Harry Potter Dementors
February 28, 2018 by brennon
Knight Models dropped another preview for the world of Harry Potter and their upcoming Miniatures Adventure Game. Here we have the swooping form of the shadowy Dementors!
This interpretation of the Dementors is certainly one that stuck with me when I saw them in the films. I had always thought of Dementors as effectively Ringwraiths before seeing the films but this look, which brings across a more ghostly appearance, certainly does look better.
I think this would be fun to paint as well, maybe making use of some object source lighting from the base of the model to highlight the shadows of the creature and give it a more ethereal look.
What do you think of their miniatures so far?

Love it will have to start spell practice again?
That looks gorgeous. I have the feeling that this game is going to be expensive seeing the quality of the models and knowing that they are going to be resin as the lastest Batman or DCU models released by Knight Models.
Lets see how successful it will be.
The boardgame adressed many boardgamer, which of course is great to build up momentum. But when I see the many questions about preasembled and prepainted (!!!!) I fear many non-wargamers will be dissapointed.
Although the asembly of the resin-KM minis is not a big deal. But for people who only know pvc-preasembled stuff this might be a solid reason to pull out.
I will be all in. Even if the ruleset is surprising bad,I will have wonderful minis 2 paint.
this is just AMAZING… I am leaving batman chronicles just to have enough money for this, I also suspect is going to be expensive… 🙂
They also have shown Fred and George Weasley!
he’s all billowy and ethereal. every sculpt so far has been spot on. sign me up.
It looks good and I believe there are other uses , too. Perhaps a ring-wraith in an ethereal form, or a wraith in Warhammer or any other fantasy game. The success of this miniatures is definitely not restricted on the Harry Potter game. Splendid.
Agreed, these are some of the best sculpted and painted miniatures out there. That’s a bit counterproductive though as 99% of people won’t be able to reach that level and the pictures create false expectations. The Kickstarter will be interesting, the IP’s so strong, but this isn’t going to be cheap. At the same time Batman is throwing bucketloads of minis at backers.
Yeah I’m not optimistic about the price because the license tends to add a lot to anything that has the Harry Potter logo on it.
That said the models look amazing.
That looks really nice.
Im really looking forward to this.
