Kingdom Death & Soda Pop Miniatures Add Candy & Cola Crossover Mini
December 14, 2016 by deltagamegirl22
Kingdom Death and Soda Pop Miniatures are proud to announce the sexy, Lantern Year Three Candy & Cola crossover mini as an add on in the wildly successful Kingdom Death Monster 1.5 Kickstarter.
"It's been three long lantern years, but Candy & Cola continue to survive in the nightmare horror world of Kingdom Death! Wielding her broken heel as a weapon, Candy & Cola have just escaped from the Traveller's arena of death. The Traveller is a huge entity moving on hundreds of pairs of horse-like legs.
Those that head its deep horn-bellow are drawn to the constantly moving titan, where they are forced to fight to the death for the amusement of its dark passengers."
This little number is classified as a "Wanderer" in the game and is available as an add on option for your pledge and offers a great example of company collaboration.
What do you think of the Kingdom Death "Wanderer" version of Candy & Cola?

It is a good adaption of Candy and Cola, more in line with KDM than their first appearance, more pragmatic and grounded and yet retaining the energy and dynamism that characterises them.
it also shows how well the artist used both characters as one while Candy is definitely more serious Cola has the energy and dynamism of the duo the keys and collar with the lock are a crucial element on the optimism the duo give that still stands defiant on the KDM but is more subtle this time.
so glad to see the return of candy & cola, I was a fan of the original but have to agree with @psychoticstorm on the subtleties of the new sculpt . it would be nice to see this narrative continue at some stage outside of the kickstarters.
while your in the house mate what do you think the chances are of an infinity crossover?
thanks for putting the updates up on the main page for KDM Dawn, your the best.
we have had some seriously good monster expansions up to now along with those awesome new narrative sculpts.
pinups, I dare you.
Unknown to be honest, I do not know if Poots knows CB, his crossovers so far though came from Kickstarters and CB has not done a kickstarter.
It would be an interesting question who could be a choice for a crossover though and how would the sci fi be turned to the medieval setting of KDM.
Doesn’t the Gambler’s Chest include a sci-fi version of a KD mini?
True the cyber monday sci fi pinup, but that is a KDM model made pinup sci fi, not a sci fi character made medieval, the closest we have is indeed kara black, and her character is not that obvious.
Whilst Candy is SPM/ND mascot across all their lines, the only game in which a mini of the style of the KDM crossover mini is playable is in Relic Knights. KD Candy doesn’t have stats for RK, though you can use her ‘counts as’, which basically means that you have a medieval mini standing in for a sci-fi version of the mini in a sci-fi game. Given there’s been no previous hint of any co-operation between Adam and CD the way there has been between Adam and John Cadice means I agree it’s unlikely we’ll see an Infinity/KD crossover mini,… Read more »
I think if CB reached out Adam might be tempted to do it.
given the anime stylings of the two companies, which is what brought soda pop and kingdom death together, its possible. probably unlikely, but it would be very cool.
Along with the introduction of the Wanderer mechanic, the figure adds story events, a philosophy, a secret fighting art and gear cards.
Cool.
I’ll be piggybacking onto a pledge to get this. Would like to have got it alongside a copy of KDM, but bank account says no lol
gutted. its the big limiting factor with monster.
I know things are a bit tight for you at the minute but if you need a hand for a few months with regards to monster or moonstone PM me if its something you can turn around given a little time.
Thank you very much for the offer, I greatly appreciate it :). Unfortunately it’s more of a next year or so thing as 2017 will be a combination of very low income and new baby.
hope someone in the industry gives you an awesome job so you can buy all the toys.
i’m sure monster will find its way into your collection at some stage.
fingers crossed for you
How do people feel about the gamblers chest? I signed up for a package that included it. However, I dont really feel like it is worth it. I dont really want any of those narrative sculptures. I find a lot of the pin-up models to be rather sad. I just want the core box and some of the expansions.
On the contrary I adore what it has inside, the narrative sculpts are the best thing he included in the game for me, I really do not like the armour kits, were the one pose models are well posed without the compromises of the armour kits needing to fit together.
The good thing about the campaign in this respect is you aren’t forced to pledge an additional $100 as a package for the game and this additional content. You can construct your pledge as suits you best.
So far I see the gamblers chest as a mix of two things. The first is the new content in cards, advance rules and events that add more to the game. The second is the narrative models are more like a story telling tool that people can live without. Don’t get me wrong I like the narrative models, but I think they could have been sold separate and done just fine. But from what I read at first the gamblers chest was to be packed with content that couldn’t fit into the game box. I don’t really see the narrative… Read more »
I personally love the gamblers chest and am a big fan of the narrative sculpts. while the armour kits are a fantastic idea and I have seen some very cool models they aren’t the same level of quality as the rest of the range. I have been hoping for awhile for none armour kit survivors that are on par with the rest of the sculpts in the line and that’s exactly what we got. pinups are a personal thing and I have had my say on the matter before. i’m a fan but if your not then you have the… Read more »
