January 1, 2018 by dignity
Our team of survivors return to hunt another screaming antelope in Kingdom Death: Monster, but this time they are geared up and ready for the fight. The horrors of this world cant keep our settlement down and from the looks of things the team is gaining a bit more confidence in dealing with the creatures out there in the dark.

I have loved all of these! Man I wish I backed this.
The 1.5 KS was a year too early for me. Very little income at the time and a brand arrival into the family. If it ran today I’d be backing it. Just have to hope the pledge manager gets re-opened at some point.
You can buy your retail copy right now at:
https://shop.kingdomdeath.com/
Its $400 so I understand trying to wait for another KS opening in order to save some money.
Plus the various extras. I’m also unsure whether that will ship from the EU or not, and am waiting on a response from KD 🙂
A damn good game, at least you only lost one. But its a bugger, that animal and i believe its only a level one monster…
This is a great game to watch…
May the dice gods be with you during The Next One… da, da Darrrr…
Really enjoyed watching these. The setting is delightfully twisted and the gameplay looks ace.
I’m in about the same place as this in my campaign and we seem to be much better armored. Do you think building two sets of full rawhide was a mistake? Had you built some cat / screaming antelope armor, you’d have much more armor. I also really like the zanbato with its unlock.
I am getting to the point, or possibly gotten to the point where I have to stop watching the videos. We haven’t started playing the game yet, and I am concerned about spoiling the story lines.
I would pause watching then and watch either a) after you have played the game to see who things could turn out, b) after you have played the same lantern year.
Treat it as a companion now, rather than as something you should watch all the time.
Thanks! I will.
Thanks guys! I love these KDM series! Love to follow you on this great adventure! ^_^
How soon Warren! HOW SOOOON! I can’t wait for these episodes! D: I’m living this game through you guys!
That monster gave you a run for its resources! Great episode guys, can’t wait to see how you fair against the Phoenix since I finally decided to tackle the beast last night in my solo game.
Love it 😀 . Cannot wait for the Phoenix hunt to appear.
Really enjoy watching these, can’t wait for the time chicken (phoenix) as its a big step up in difficulty and then your only a year shy of the Kingsman who is murderous the first time you meet him.
@Beastsofwar any chance of some pictures of the minis your using, especially the Phoenix the paint jobs look fantastic! Did you guys get any of the updated materials in the 1.5 Kickstarter? This game is amazing but by god it gets expensive quick, makes GW look cheap in comparision.
You can find a lot of the images of things I have painted on a thread on the forums, or via this link https://goo.gl/photos/wySmPzZJKAxVpxR8A
Also in terms of cost, the core game, model for model and with all the printed components in no more expensive than buying all you need for an army, with rule books etc, for a GW game (assuming you don’t start an army using the contents of a loss leader boxed game of GW).
I was more talking about when you start adding expansions in, but I wasn’t questioning the value more stating if your somewhat of a completitionist costs will pile up. I’m in for $1400 at kickstarter prices now and there’s expansions I’m missing. I guess what I was saying was more of an observation than a complaint and as games go KDM is simply in a class of its own but the cost fairly reflects that. I was looking for a way in to the game for a long while before the 2nd Kickstarter was announced so I was all over… Read more »
Wow, you’re the painter of these items as well? Well done sir, your stuff is gorgeous.
Thanks for that a ton of beautiful minis there!
that antelope just refuses to go down. you were all totally immersed in the game, it just sucked you right in. a phenomenal game with all the makings of a legendary campaign and series.
bring on the phoenix. nice job on the painting Chris mate.
it’s a little tough to keep track of the survivors and the settlement. any chance of having the settlement and survivors listed somewhere so we have a visual track of the campaign.
you could really go to town on it and present it as written by the survivors.
You guys really need to remember the rawhide armour ability.
Every time you use survival you role a D10. On a 6+ you gain a survival.
It would help you out a lot.
Also, build more armour!! Your going to need it.
