The Kaosball Stretch Goal Miniatures Take Shape
June 26, 2013 by brennon
The Kaosball Kickstarter by CoolMiniOrNot has been going from strength to strength over the past few weeks and with just four days to go they have sculpted up some examples of their final stretch goal miniatures...
First up we have Gabe and Tycho who were funded at $160k and $170k respectively. The comic feel of them has carried over nicely into the world of Kaosball that itself is very cartoon in nature. I like the more dynamic running feel of Gabe myself as he actually looks like he's playing the sport!
The mighty Kongbad has also been sculpted and he really does have a bit of a barrel chest doesn't he? This gorilla in his surfing shorts and trainers is exclusive to Kickstarter much like Gabe and Tycho above so if you want him you'll have to pledge. It's almost like Donkey Kong met Elvis...
At the higher end of the stretch goal scale, $200k, you can also look to unlock this mighty Kutulu beast. I'm fairly sure that I wouldn't want to be playing against this mind altering Old One.
The sculpts are looking great across the board and although we have a few that are duplicates of each other at the basic team level I think because it's a board game they can get away with it. Just give them an individual lick of paint if needs be!
What do you think of Kaosball?

I know it would be a pain in the rear to package it up but I would love it if CMoN did a “Painter” pledge level that featured one of each unique mini from every team, including the add-on teams. Those miniatures have a lot of character!
Gabe, Tycho and Kongbad have funky looking hair but IMHO Kutulu is easily best of those four.
