Take A Journey Through Life With AEG’s Inner Compass In 2020

AEG has a rather experimental game in the works for April next year. Inner Compass is a game all about life and trying to find meaning in all that you do throughout your years on this little ball of blue and green in the midst of a vast universe.
Here is the main premise for the game by Daniel Skjold Pedersen and Asger Harding Granerud...
"Inner Compass is a bold experiment in determining your personal inner compass. Will you focus on building up emotions to release them at certain times? Sometimes it can be healthy and productive, while at other times it can be destructive and inappropriate. As you move through the game, you’ll learn how to communicate your emotions constructively and earn points towards winning."
The Rulebook for the game is already ready if you want to give it a read over to see if this is for you but as a whole, I think this could be a fascinating idea for a tabletop game.
You will spend your time with the game as one of four different characters looking to find meaning in their life. You will be trying to make the right choices when it comes to emotional moments and finding ways to craft meaningful memories. All of this is in aid of finding your inner compass and seeing if you can become the most enlightened person around the table.
The rulebook is quite thin so it seems like a quick game that you'll be able to pick up in no time and I think the randomness included with the cards and the path you take through 'life' could give this a nice edge of replayability.
I like the artwork for the game too and it's also nice to see a game which isn't just about blowing up people and taking their stuff, as good as those games are.

Mechanics look like an abstract spacial game, with the scoring a VP salad.
I *do* have the risque Funny Friends, whose mechanics also weren’t always comprehensible. Highly recommended if your gaming group has no uptight people…
