Jasco Games Snap Up Street Fighter For Some Tabletop Brawls
July 11, 2015 by brennon
Jasco Games (who developed the Mega Man Board Game) have grabbed the rights to Street Fighter and as well as bringing a new board game out will also develop the property alongside the UFS: Universal Fighting System which brings together the biggest and best fighting games out there into their own card game mechanics...
It will be interesting to see what they do with the board game and details on this are meant to be coming soon. There is already a pretty good game out there which mimics the feel of a fighting game called Flash Duel (pick it up, it's awesome) although I could imagine this Street Fighter game using a few different mechanics.
A version of Street Fighter does already exist in Deck Builder form from Cryptozoic so it looks like this might be going head to head with it.
Would you like to get Street Fighter onto the tabletop? I know I would, I suck at it digitally!
Keep an eye out for more...

It will be good to see a new version of Street Fighter in the UFS system the previous run was a great game!
Was Megaman ever released? It seems they did a kickstarter and there hasn’t been any news since.
Just checked the Kickstarter, the June update says that Capcom have only just approved the artwork.
This will have some stiff competition, with Yomi and BattleCon already out there. Not played the UFS card game, what’s it like?
The old UFS CCG was a firm favourite round these parts when it was at it’s prime. It’s a fairly complex system, compared to some CCG’s, but was really good fun.
Very interested in where they go with this. Love street fighter and had a serious addiction to ufs.
I had to stop buying cards just because of the amount of money it was costing me.
How will they structue the game I wonder? Will it have solo play, where you worlds warrior style through each stage and then battle the bosses?
A head to head fighting game would be great, wouldn’t like them to turn it into some sort of adventure game.
Stumbled across this on the Level99 games site just now, wonder if this may be linked to the SF license:
