Assemble An Intergalactic Crew In Wild Space!
June 25, 2021 by fcostin
Pandasaurus Games confirmed at the early stages of this year that they will be translating over some incredibly successful games. Both The Loop the board game and Wild Space the card game, are ready for pre-order and the premise of Wild Space has certainly caught my eye. As players build their own space crew to discover unfound treasures and mysteries across the untouched galaxy.
Wild Space // Pandasaurus Games
Travelling through space is infinite, and you have set off to explore a new Galaxy that has been found hugging the Empire. It is time to head off with your own personalized team and build your specialised crew to take what you want from the world of new opportunity provided. If you have ever wanted to become a space pirate, searching for treasures, completing missions and earning credits. Wild Space might just be the card game for you.
Wild Space // Pandasaurus Games
1-5 players will take 15-40 minutes to play Wild Space depending on how many players are immersed in the action. The upcoming tactical card game focuses mostly on combining cards together efficiently. The more cards that are combined within a players' collection - the stronger the crew and the further the player progresses. Depending on how your crew is structured, can hinder how many credits you receive back for objectives. So if you are looking at sweeping the Galaxy by being the richest, you best put some strategy into your crew and combinations.
Wild Space // Pandasaurus Games
Playing the game seems to be very simple, with a main card-drafting mechanic in mind:
Wild Space carries all the excitement of combo card games, with accessible rules. On each turn, a fresh action selection system offers you two simple types of options: add a new card to your Crew or draw new cards. When you play a card, you trigger its ability if the cards in your Crew fulfil its condition. Putting new cards into play is therefore useful for getting powerful abilities right now, but also for gathering the conditions for triggering future abilities. Learning how to plan your actions is key for triggering efficient combos and being able to put several cards into play at once."
The rulebook is available to download on the Pandasaurus website here, if you want to give it a butchers in full. But building a space crew is certainly on my list - given that there is a solo mode available too, I cannot wait to pick it up.
You can pre-order Wild Space today from the Pandasaurus Website, online and a vast range of FLGS Stores, ready for release on 11th August.
What do you think of this upcoming title?
