Own Hyrule & Play For Hours With Legend of Zelda Monopoly
August 4, 2014 by brennon
Special versions of Monopoly, especially in a world filled with better board games, are a novel and interesting addition to a collection and I recently played The Hobbit one which was quite fun (mainly because of the people) but Nintendo have promised that The Legend of Zelda: Monopoly will be coming to the US soon!
Monopoly is, as you might expect, still Monopoly but this version would be neat for fans of the universe. It comes with tokens for Bow, Hookshot, Boomerang, Triforce, Hylian Shield, and Ocarina of Time (Game Stop Exclusive token) as well as a few other exclusives which include the Goddess Harp, Wind Walker, Minish Cap, Spirit Flute, Phantom Hourglass, and the Ocarina of Time. Certainly better than regular Monopoly.
Here's the board so you can get a better look at what's changing on the board to replace things like stations and utilities. As mentioned before this appears to be something for the US right now, coming out September 15th, and I'm not sure if it has a European date yet.
Are you a big enough Zelda fan?

Arggh! I feel a compulsive need to own Legend of Zelda-related things, but why couldn’t it be a real game!?
I want to see a Dungeon Crawler !
Monopoly is such a stupid game… tack on it what license you want it still will suck.
Legend of Zelda dungeon crawler would be such a good game!..meh…I’d like to see it on the market too…Like Zelda so much back to 90’s… ;[
So… we have a terrible game coupled with an over-exploited license. Pass.
I never felt the license is over-exploited. Game wise there are 1 or 2 home console versions per console cycle and maybe 3-4 games during handheld cycles. There is quite some merchandise, but if you don’t live in japan I don’t think you stumble over it every other inch.
I love Zelda games but Nintendo is way too much mainstream for my taste in case of licensing their IPs.
