Hunt Down Bloodsuckers With V Hunters Board Game Soon!
September 23, 2014 by brennon
A vampire hunting co-operative board game is on the way called V Hunters, it seems like we're getting a lot of these at the moment (the co-operative games anyway!). See what you think...
The game is for one to four players and sees you playing as a team of hunters versus a group of nasty looking vampires. Their big tag line is that you're 'Always in the Game' because of the A.I system that runs the bloodsuckers themselves. The idea is that they'll be ratcheting up the tension each time you play when the vampires can leap on each of you in turn and fight every single hunter!
Miniatures wise we have these rather nifty looking renders for you to check out showing off what they're going to look like. Not bad considering these are going to be board game components and it will be interesting to see how they develop into real pieces as the fundraiser launches soon.
V Hunters is going to be on Kickstarter at some point in the future yes but it could be one to watch if you like your co-operative gaming. I've become a big fan of it in board games recently mainly through doing more role-playing. This one looks like it could be fun too!
What do you think?

the vampires look nicely designed and sculpted 🙂
reminds me of a Chiropteran a bit 🙂
the human minis might need to have the details made deeper and thickened,
just to help with the casting ( and painting ) 😛
but overall this is looking promising so far, the board components look well made 🙂
I wonder if they ever thought of approaching the people who own the IP for UNDERWORLD to see if they could get the game made that way.
2 words … License Fees 😛
Couldn’t they sell the game to them though? Or maybe swap it for a date with Kate Beckinsale? I
Problem with that though is that Underworld is Vampires Vs Werewolves (Lycans) so it doesn’t quite fit with what they’re trying to do here. I think the emphasis is on there being uber powerful vampires against humans who have to work together.
Now World of Darkness – which Underworld blatantly stole from – would be awesome as a board game with Hunters (of the Reckoning) vs Vampires (of the Masquerade) vs Werewolves (of the Apocalypse!)

I don’t think this game needs any license. All those standard Vampire and Werewolve tropes are just generic and commonplace and thus exchangeable.
Put a big Underworld sticker on the box or even one of WoD, and you ll be just as home as before.
I just want a 28mm version of Kate Beckinsale I can carry around in my top pocket. Oh the adventures we would have. Sigh.
Have you checked hasselfree minis some hunters that fit the bill
Its gotta be licensed or nothing. I’m not cheating on her. I’m a man of honour.
Always wanted a miniature game with the Underworld setting… Maybe with Song of Fear and Faith by Ganesha Games?
Another co-op, mini-based board game too far in a relatively short space of time fir me. Looking good though !
