Hub Games have announced that they are going to be coming to Kickstarter in May 2020 this year with a new game, Prisma Arena.

Prisma Area Box Image - Hub Games

The game comes from Rory O' Connor who designed the fantastic Holding On and John Fiore who worked on Untold: Adventures Await. A game of Prisma Arena is a two-to-four player take on arena combat for gamers and their families. Art has been supplied by Sean Galloway and PJ Holden who have made a name for themselves in the industry already.

You will find yourself gaining experience in the area by fighting alongside a set of creatures called Mo'Kon who embody your emotions. After each sparring session where you blast, strike and perform combo attacks against your opponents you'll rank up thanks to the use of removable stickers which get added to your characters sheet. You also still develop through defeat too as failure can be a great teacher.

"Representation and self-expression lie at the heart of Prisma Arena. Over the course of their training, each character will build up an array of abilities as well as a unique style, allowing for players to envision themselves how they want to within the walls of the Arena. Whether it's a one-on-one fight or you prefer the teamwork of multiplayer battles, each round will see you selecting Strike and Blast attacks, comboing between them with Moves as you spar against your opposition. Don't forget your special powers too, which will develop as you grow into a true Guardian of Hope!"

I really like what Hub Games has worked on in the past and this seems like a new way to get involved with younger gamers and those who are young at heart. I will say that currently the cover art looks a little jarring to me in terms of its styles but I'm sure things will develop as we near in on that Kickstarter date.

Are you going to keep an eye on this?
