Gerry sits down with Jaro to go over some of your questions from our last discussion with Phalanx games, but also to dive into the last 20 years of history following the thawing of the Cold War. Europe Divided is a tug of war between two players looking to carve up former Soviet Bloc states with either Soviet or European influence.
How do you think Europe Divided represents our current political climate in Europe?

the concept of spheres of influence without the real life realpolitik I think is difficult to convey since motivation of controlling domestic support and international support are normally at odds and difficult when real life issues like Covid 19 or others effects are so beyond the control of any government but can be used if astute leaders at least convey the illusion of control and stability.
its a interesting new way to play cold war tensions in Europe.
