"Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown..."

The King's Dilemma is coming out later this year from Horrible Games and promises to be an interactive narrative experience with legacy elements built into its play.

The King's Dilemma - Horrible Games

I love any game with choice and consequence and this game seems to have that in spades. Several branching storylines will lead you towards many different finales as a deck of evolving events push you to make decisions that will push you to make tough choices.

Players will take on the role of various Houses within the Kingdom Of Ankist. You will not only have to just keep your kingdom going but also play to the advantage of your house whilst also being diplomatic. Additionally, you might have to stave off war, famine and riots, or maybe implement them simply to break a stalemate. Every choice you make will change the fortunes of your kingdom and the unfolding narrative.

As they say "what is good for the kingdom as a whole may be bad for your family. Will you act for the greater good, or think for yourself?"

I think this sounds brilliant and I can't wait to find out more about it over the coming weeks.

How does this sound to you?
