Holy Chess Game, Batman! Deluxe Batman Chess Set From Noble Collection
June 8, 2015 by deltagamegirl22
I think it's fair to say that this Batman Chess Set from The Noble Collection is out of the average gamer's price range. That being said, it think it's fair to say that it is, in fact, the most awesome Batman chess set ever!
This board is underlit by fifty LED lights and the chess pieces are pewter and diecast metal, representing: The Joker, Catwoman, Riddler and Penguin battle Batman, Robin, Batgirl and commissioner Gordon.
Any true Batman fan would appreciate a set like this (though perhaps only Bruce Wayne could afford it)!
What do you think of this Gotham treasure?

Now that is the coolest looking chess board I have ever seen!
That’s not going to feel right. If Batman is the King, he is going to do almost nothing, if you are playing well. I assume Batgirl is the Queen, and thus, ostensibly, the most powerful piece on the board.
Holy gender stereotypes Batman!!
Gordon should be King, Bats the Queen, Robin and Batgirl the Bishops.
Also, they set the board up wrong in the pic, they are off by 90 degrees.
…so … Batman’s a Queen ? (O , O) ???

😛 speak your truth Batman 😛 ha ha ha
I always found that strange with theme chess sets. The “most powerful” piece is never the right character. In a Superman chess set the Queen is, what, Lois? So she’s the biggest threat with the most mobility? And Superman, the King, has to waddle along 1 space at a time, run away from everything, hide, and be protected everywhere? Man, what?
Anyway… I like the board they have there, despite using a logo that hasn’t been used in, what? Over a decade now? The piece choices, though… never would get my favor.
$800 is a bit much for a chess game. But as they only ship in the US it doesnt really matter 😉
My ‘Simpsons’ set is better! However, that is totally cool.
nice.
I would have thought the pawns would be police and henchmen.
You could deck out a set with the Batman Miniatures game figures. It would cost a fraction of the price and look WAY better. Plus you’d have two full gangs to play the miniatures game with.
I was thinking that as well.
Not keen on the characters, board is lovely – I reckon you could put something together from knight models that would look nicer.
