Do you have that one friend that is mad about cats? Sending you all the cat videos to indulge in, having their own kitty hoard of their own dwelling in their own home... maybe it is you. Now there is a pawsome and quirky party board game that can take those cat-obsessed feels to the table. As the unpredictable card drafting game, where outcomes are just as unforeseeable as feline behaviour. CATastrophe: A Game of 9 Lives by The Original Sasquatch is live on Kickstarter.

2-6 Players will have 9 lives to treasure, however, just because you have a good few extra chances - does not mean you should be living life on the edge. Players will need to be one step ahead of their opponents, as they will need to outlive them dealing with attacks, incoming and outgoing abilities through the card-drafting system. Taking roughly 30-45 minutes per game.
The game is not in the control of the players, it is in the games' hands to determine your outcomes wishing away those nine lives you are trying to hold on to so dearly. Players will need to have a strategy in mind, whilst also being extremely careful and cautious with the hope that their opponents are going to play it riskier than you.

There are always items to trip you up to risk it all. The Grim Reapurr is watching your every move, and is awaiting in the drawcard pile. Be cautious as he moves up and down the board awaiting its next victim. If you are in the same space, you can kiss goodbye to one of your lives.

There are a ton of different pledge levels including posters bundles and The Paws Out, Claws Out Expansion. Which adds more Power Cats, more playable characters, and doubles the number of CATastrophes in play, meaning the game is about to get a whole lot more interesting! The highest pledge level enables you to have your own cat printed into every copy of the game too, but it comes with quite the price tag.
Stretch goals have begun to unlock, providing players with upgrades, new cards such as Harry Pawter, and there are still a good few available that have not been revealed just yet.
If you are keen on the game, the Rulebook is available to download on their website and on their Kickstarter campaign page if you want to get your head around the chaos.
The game has 21 days left on the clock and is doing incredibly well by smashing its initial target, so be sure to check out the campaign whilst it is live.
