Greenbrier Bringing Folklore To Kickstarter This September
August 26, 2015 by brennon
Greenbrier Games, on the back of a successful Kickstarter for Zpocalypse II, are going to be launching their next project known as Folklore The Affliction during September of this year. See what you think of the game so far...
The game will be a board game adventure where you take on the role of characters hunting down the dark things of the world. There is also going to be an emphasis on storytelling and exploration as well as character development RPG-style.
Most of the miniatures in the game are born out of a previous Kickstarter that they ran creating custom Fantasy Miniatures for your gaming on the tabletop. You can get a close look at some of the models involved with the project below.
You can click on the images to get a better view of them but they all have a nice unique style of design to them which I like. I really like the look of the game and the focus on narrative they are pushing to the fore. Twin that with some great artwork and you might have a new project to add to your collection.
What do you think so far?

Those look really good.
They do look quite beautiful. And unusual!
My interest is always caught by a game that promises RPG elements and character development. I find traditional RPGs a little too in-depth for my attention span but when stripped down rules are mixed with a mini skirmish game it can work really well. These minis also happen to look awesome (especially the Ephialtes inspired chap) so I’ll be keeping an eye on it.
The “old” one for he people who want to know some more about it “right now”. Ofcourse the new one will be a bit different > https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1988459078/folklore-the-affliction?ref=discovery
some very nice looking models – really do like the giant hunch back.
