Ravensburger recently revealed a new addition to their Horrified board game range. They have previously had you dealing with Universal Monsters and American Monsters from folklore but the newest standalone game in the series has you clashing with Greek Monsters!

Horrified Greek Monsters - Ravensburger

Horrified: Greek Monsters // Ravensburger

Pandora's Box has been cracked open and now the most notorious monsters in Greek mythology have escaped into the world. Much like previous games in the Horrified series, this is a cooperative game where you'll become different avatars of the Greek gods who have been tasked with recapturing these creatures.

You'll be asked to uncover the lairs of the various monsters like Medusa, Cerberus, the Chimera and the Minotaur by collecting colour tokens/items and then discarding them to reveal their location. Once you've revealed these lairs, you'll be able to work together to put these monsters back into the boxes!

Six monsters are included in the box (see above), each with their own abilities that make them a deadly challenge for you to face on the tabletop. To combat that, each player will come with their own unique powers which must be used together with your friends in order to defeat these monsters.

Card draws will dictate which monsters act and where they go, rampaging across the Ancient World and causing chaos. You'll have to make some good decisions when it comes to where you go and what you do as you help protect innocents caught in the mayhem and deal with the monsters at the same time.

This seems like a great way to expand the Horrified experience and make it more appealing to a broader player base. I like the look of the previous two incarnations of the game but this one, with its focus on mythology, has got me intrigued!

Will you be picking up this version of Horrified?
