Grab Mass Effect Miniatures For Modiphius’ New Board Game
September 13, 2024 by brennon
Modiphius recently started taking pre-orders for their Mass Effect board game. We unboxed it right here OnTableTop and you can check out our preview of it below but on top of the board game, Modiphius are also offering some excellent miniature packs to replace the tokens found in the game.
Heroes Of The Normandy Alpha // Modiphius
The miniature are available as part of a larger bundle but you can also get each of the individual sets if you'd prefer to just get your hands on certain miniatures. The Heroes Of Normandy Alpha set gives you alternative miniatures for the main characters in the board game but also all of the lower-level enemies and elite enemies that you'll be facing throughout the course of the board game.
Unboxing: Mass Effect: The Board Game – Priority: Hagalaz
All of the miniatures in the set are 32mm scale and are multi-part, high-quality resin figures with plastic bases. These aren't your standard board game plastics and that obviously comes with a cost.
Priority Threats Alpha // Modiphius
The Heroes Of Normandy set comes with miniatures for John and Jane Shepard as well as Urdnot Wrex, Garrus Vakarian, Liara T'soni and Tali’zorah Nar Rayya and Chatika.
Priority Threats Alpha comes with a Cerberus Phantom and a Cerberus Centurion as well as a Project Phoenix Adept. Priority Threats Beta gets a little weirder with a Scion, Banshee and Indoctrinated Krogan Battlemaster.
Priority Threats Beta // Modiphius
You then get a bunch of extra miniatures to cover the majority of the enemies that you'll face during your games from Cerberus but also as part of the Reapers.
Cerberus Troops Alpha // Modiphius
Reaper Forces Alpha // Modiphius
As part of the bundle, there are eighteen Cerberus troops and eighteen Reaper troops. So, you should be able to cover all of the different enemies that you see popping up during your games. All of them look great, at least in these renders. We should be getting some of these miniatures to get a closer look at soon and when we do, we'll give you a better look at the final product.
Make sure to check out the bundle in particular here as it does give you a saving. You don't need these miniatures however as the board game plays perfectly well with tokens. If you're looking to use these for the game AND to go beyond when diving into skirmish tabletop games, these might be worth scooping up though.
Are you going to be getting these Mass Effect miniatures?

Board game £40. One pack of minis £40. One of each mini £136. Enough minis to replace all the tokens £240 and they don’t include the board game. Ummm, nope. Mass Effect is my favourite fictional universe but even I’m not enough of a masochist to let Modiphius exploit me like that.
I love some of Modiphius’ games but I cannot for the life of me understand the pricing of their resin miniatures. Kept me away from Cohors Cthulhu because of house insanely high priced the minis were.
Very good price for the main game. But there’s no way I’m going to upgrade to minis at that price point :/ and I’ve heard you still have to use the tokens because they must be flipped for conditions. Why?
I’ll undoubtedly buy the main game and then wait for my copy of Rogue Angels to arrive. It’ll be my second fix of Mass Effect vibes.
