Grab Caverns Of Roxor: 2nd Edition For Super Dungeon Explore
February 20, 2017 by brennon
If you're a Super Dungeon Explore fan then you might want to go delving again with Caverns Of Roxor: 2nd Edition, which is now available from Soda Pop Miniatures.
So what's this expansion all about?
"Caverns of Roxor: 2nd Edition is a level box for games of Super Dungeon. This level box includes three heroes, one mini boss, monsters, and The Lord of the Fire Flows, Roxor—featuring all new sculpts for Roxor, Princess Ruby, and the Deeproot Scout. The level box also includes Classic and Arcade Mode Cards for monsters, as well as themed Treasure Cards, making it a full-on, fiery battle for fans of Super Dungeon!"
New sculpts is awesome and it's great to see them tweaking the contents to give you another crack at the adventure.
The heroes, as always, look wonderful in all their chibi glory and the style certainly allows them to go to town on the monsters too. I mean look at that rather mighty fellow Roxor!
Included within the set you get the heroes and the boss of course but also a big collection of monsters, twenty-nine of them in fact.
If you're interested in seeing the contents of the expansion in more detail then the folks at Ninja Division/Soda Pop have made an Unboxing Video which you can watch at the top of the page.
Will you be snapping this up?

Hrm, 2 hero rescuplts and a boss resculpt. That’s kind of annoying to me. I was doing quite well getting a collection of everything SDE but I’m kinda giving up now. They look great but ….. I can’t keep paying for the same thing over and over
Yeah I’m in the same boat. With the exception of the King Starfire model and the PvP Arena I have everything that has been released for SDE. As I am not keen to double up on my Caverns minions, I’m notrying sure how I will be able to get hold of those re-sculpts 🙁
notrying? I think it is about time to wipe the custom dictionary from my phone. Autocorrect has filled it with gibberish lol
Yeah, I know where you lot are coming from.
But I figured the math on what I am willing to pay for three SDE heroes- single heroes are usually $13, and bosses are about $30.
So I bought it.
(if it is any consolation, two groups of Fireflow Denizens is actually really fun to play with… but since this would be my fourth spawn point of them, I was planning on giving the extra monsters to my nephews).
If you ever see a king starfire, don’t bother. He is the biggest let down. I swear you can see the sculptors finger prints in him and strips of sculpting material where he didn’t get time to finish. There are things on it that look like shaped playdough. I was gutted when he arrived
I feel like I am complaining too much now! Soda pop do some great stuff! Let me put that out there, the game itself is alot of fun 🙂
Those are some neat chibi models.
I glad that SDE got remade into a co-op version, I tended to have only a few other players at a time and so controlling half a game at times got overwhelming. I was happy that Ninja Division made that update deck, so people who had the first version of these sets did not have to re-buy.
