Give dice rolling the boot!
March 10, 2011 by beerogre
Litko have launched a new range of mini dice towers, to take the strain out of rolling all those dice and help those damaged wrists.
Have a look at their cute little boots, just righ tfor those 10mm dice of doom!
Do you need any of these types of things?
I was considering getting some for the studio. It would make it a lot easier to film battle reports... if we were considering such a thing that is!

I have the Chessex dice boot – it works well for smaller dice. Not so much for the 16mm dice I prefer.
Helpful if you were rolling for Genestealer brood attacks for videos.
Used the mighty power of papercraft to produce my own dice tower. Also last I checked, GW dice are 12mm, not 10mm.
Highly suggest some papercraft as a support hobby to wargaming.
I’ve never even considered using one. I just roll my dice on my table… If you respect them and don’t throw them like a maniac, they don’t take a hike under the chairs.
The thing isn’t too expensive, and once you own one, I bet everyone uses it… However, it’s a little superfluous, isn’t it ?
Moreover, what about the noise the dice make when hitting the plastic “walls” ?
You mean you don’t like the sound of chattering dice!? YOU ARE NO WARGAMER
couldn’t someone get a dice app for their phone cheaper?
I prefer making a dice pool from impassable terrain to roll in, at the moment thats a large pool of water effects in a crater, keeps your dice from rolling everywhere and looks good to boot.
considering the hobby as a whole i would suggest making one of these…
our local shop made one out of the imperial bastion to drop the dice in and aegis defence walls at the base to catch the dice falling. this seems more mini war gaming and less vegas as above.
That’s a cracking idea… we might pinch that! 😀
Plz Plz battle reports! battle reports! battle reports! battle reports!
erm…not very useful in my opinion. You can just use a lidless tin for a start cover it with your hand shake it and hey presto.
I suppose with 40 witch elves at 4 attacks each, one of these might be useful, but you can’t beat the feeling of rolling dice form your own hands really can you? Some sort of tray to catch them in is all that’s needed really.
And where’s the Orange one?
how many dice wil fit into the tray at once????
