Paint The Roses from North Star Games will be heading to retail this month bringing all the goodness from the Kickstarter to stores. This brings forth a whirlwind of cooperative deduction from the core game, a revolution-themed expansion and a deluxe edition that brings all the whimsy together inside one box.

Players are heading to Wonderland, home to edibles that make you shrink or grow, curious zany caterpillars, cats and a Queen with a serious anger issue. Hiring out for some Royal Gardeners, two to five players will be working together to fill the garden with roses before the Queen loses her patience and you lose your life...and job.

It's not just any old roses that the Queen demands. Following instructions on a continuously changing card (due to the indecisive queen), you'll also be meeting the layout goals of the palace grounds and each player is provided with a secret whim, which must be kept close to the player. Partners also work together when meeting anger-fuelled whims!

If players guess the whims of their team of royal decorators, they will move around the palace one step ahead of the queen ready to distribute some new roses into the greenery. However, guess wrong and gameplay becomes tense. Around the board, The Red Queen follows to inspect your worthiness. If she gets close, her axe will swing and the game is lost.

Running for your life every time the garden needs a spritz can be quite tiresome! Tired of meeting the demands of the Queen, players will hope to make a quick dip to the castle gates to live in freedom. Standing in their way are five different keys. Obtaining help from a buddy amongst Wonderland, the Mad Hatter, Tweedledee & Tweedledum, Alice and many more will support these schemes, providing new challenges to meet on the route to the exit.
