Games Of The Day: Heroscape
March 30, 2013 by brennon
Heroscape is a game that you don't see much anymore but that's what Tabletop Day is all about, bringing back old favourites for another showing. Sam talked with Jim about this fantastic modular game that is out of print but still incredibly fun.
This one is a bit of a treasure from a past time so if you were a big fan of Heroscape, and still are, let us know.

Super fun game! My daughter loves it! In our last game she Mind Shackled my mimring! Lots of fun.
Heroscape is a fantastic game. Simple enough to keep my son interested and complex enough to keep me interested. If anyone gets the chance to play it, I would strongly recommend giving it a go. Unfortunately I believe it commands quite high prices on a certain auction site but I would say its worth it just for the modular terrain which I also use for playing Battletech.
I’ve not played this one I’ll take the advice and keep my eyes open
Heroscape is a fantastic game which I have been playing for about a year now. It’s easy to learn but has loads of tactical depth once you learn the characters and their special powers. I managed to buy loads on the bay but it seems to have dried up on there now. If you see a Rise of the Valkyrie master set grab it. There’s enough in the box to have decent sized games. Highly recommended.
Ninjas he says?! Give the lad a shot o’ rum to come to his senses, seems like the seasickness really set in deep with this one …
🙂
I remember playing heroscape 4-5 years ago shortly after it went out of production, it was great, although I remember my friends and I didn’t follow the specific rules, and just made up our own!
Heroscape means a lot to me as a game because it was my first wargame, bringing me into the hobby and giving me some insight on who to talk to when I tried to recruit some 40k players, of which three still play today.

Heroscape was a really great game 7 years ago, I remember playing it all day long when I was in college. It is a pity that fewer and fewer studios produce such masterpieces. I hope that more similar games will be created in the future. Edward from https://papercheap.co.uk/
