Gale Force Nine Talk More On How To Play Star Trek Ascendancy

Gale Force Nine have added more to their exploration of their new Star Trek: Ascendancy board game which is coming out this summer. In their latest article they explore more on How To Play the game...

One of the big things about Ascendancy is the emphasis on exploration and finding new systems. Some of these might be phenomena as you see above or planets as you can see below.

While some of these systems might be a reasonable nice encounter for your faction others may provide you with hazards as indicated by the red number at the top of the disc. As crazy as it sounds ending up in one of these systems could end up with ships being destroyed by the dangerous environment.

You can modify this with ship shields which is a welcome sign! Planets will provide you with different resources as indicated above by the bars above. The more of a particular bar on a planet the more yield it has.

The Building Phase

As well as that the Gale Force Nine crew also went into more detail on the building phase and exactly how that works.
