Gale Force Nine Take A First Look At Doctor Who: Time Of The Daleks!
December 14, 2016 by brennon
Gale Force Nine has put together a preview of Doctor Who: Time Of the Daleks, putting you in the shoes of the Doctor in his many incarnations as he tries to deal with the threat of the Daleks on time itself.
The Doctor will be heading to different planets at different periods of time to solve dilemmas. There is an element of dice pool collecting here where you have to bring the right set of equipment, companions and of course...the right Doctor, to where he needs to be in time.
The game does look fascinating and we were able to take a look at it a while back and really enjoyed the way it comes together as a game. The mechanics are solid and lend themselves to teamwork which is always great, especially in a game like this.
You can also check out the components a little here in the image above showing off a series of Tardis'. There must be a way to describe a group of them right?
Each of the Doctors they have shown off so far look epic and this could be a brilliant game for fans of the series. Now you just need to work out which Doctor you're going to play!
What do you think of Doctor Who and the new Time Of The Daleks board game?

Looks pretty cool. Love the board
Seems there is going to be a lot of choice for Doctor Who in the coming months.
Let us remember the beautiful moment when @Lloyd attempted the Theme song in a past weekender

Looking good. Nice to see my favourite ( Tom Baker ) made it into the game.
been having a google around, but the internet doesnt seem to have a collective noun for tardis!!
my suggestion would be a perambulation of tardises??
Mainly because the T.A.R.D.I.S. Is not a real word:-)
So a cooperative game where each person plays a different incarnation of the Doctor, each with there own Tardis, trying to get to Gallifrey before Davros does. I’d buy that for a dollar!
Definitely looking – well – wibbly wobbly in a timey wimey sort of way . . .
Can’t wait ( where did I leave my tardis?
those sculpts are at least on par with the warlord ones…
this is a day one purchase for me
also hoping (and kinda expecting) other doctors to be released as an expansion as my three favourite (2,3 and 7) are absent from this set x
NO PATRICK TROUGHTON? No Sylvester McCoy? No Christopher Eccleston? They managed to leave all the doctors I really liked. Not everyone can be pleased all the time. I echo bcup with there must be an expansion with the other doctors in the future.
a dr who board game sounds pretty good to me. I wouldn’t mind seeing a lets play for this one.
looks good well worth a second look.
I have been waiting for this for months already. I’m glad to see a look at it.
looks good but I only like 2 out of the 6 doctors represented there (1st and 5th) which kinda puts me off it myself.
Really hoping that their expansions include the Shalka Doctor as well…possibly also the Alternate “Doctor Who” that showed up in other things that doesn’t quite match up with the universe…
I think the real acid test for a game like this, is whether or not non fans enjoy the game. Fans who are gamers tend to at first to give the game system a lot of slack. So a lot of games like this tend to quietly dissolve after a while.
From several past episodes based on Time Lords and Galifrey they use the collective as ‘Time Capsules’.
Being a fan I hope this is a good games system. Most of all I am looking forward to painting the miniatures as they have done a fantastic job on them. 😀
