Gabe & Tycho Endorse The Epic Kaosball Kickstarter
June 20, 2013 by brennon
Eric Lang has been the designer behind a lot of awesome games and his newest, Kaosball has taken to Kickstarter by storm. Check out the anime themed sports game from CoolMiniOrNot below and in the video above...
According to the blurb the game is a bit of a crazy mix between football, rugby and magic. Sounds like a good combination so far doesn't it? It helps that the character design and teams are looking superb too...
Above are just three of the teams that also involve Demons, Amazonian type women and more. The anime/manga theme is strong with this one and thankfully with CoolMiniOrNot behind the project the miniatures appears to be keeping up with the art style.
There are also some special players on the way and I couldn't pass up showing off The Dragon. It's nice to see a fantasy football game that is finally allowing me to use a dragon on the pitch!
I love the little touch to this model where his talons have just speared through his trainers.
Even Gabe and Tycho from Penny Arcade are also getting involved and like with Mantic Games' Kickstarter they now have their own sculpts on the way I'd imagine!
Check out the video above and see what you think as Eric Lang is a bit of a whizz when it comes to rules and gaming as a whole. This might be a big hit once again from CoolMiniOrNot.
What do you think of Kaosball?

Looks fun but wish all the members of the teams where in different poses instead of just many copies of the same figure.
Remember it’s a board game over a miniatures game so I can forgive them a little for the sculpting choices.
I’d love to pick up a couple of the miniatures – well, playing pieces – from this game but I don’t have any interest in yet another Speedball-like game on the tabletop.
It’s cool that Gabe and Tycho are getting involved though. For some reason, I never get tired of seeing them pop up in other games 😀
I like the artwork but for whatever reason the game just doesn’t excite me like dreadball does… Plus I’m still working my through all the DB miniatures from their ks 😉
