Dive Into Funko’s New Avatar: The Last Airbender Board Game!

Avatar: The Last Airbender is having a bit of a resurgence at the moment with a new live-action show coming out soon, drawing people's attention back to the stories of Ang and his companions. Funko Games are hoping to give you another way to experience those stories with Crossroads Of Destiny, a new board game which is coming out soon!

Crossroads Of Destiny is a new cooperative board game where you flip through a ring-bound book and take on the role of characters like Ang, Katara, Sokka and Toph. You'll play through a series of fifteen narrative encounters based on the stories from the Avatar series as you gain allies, master skills and work together in order to bring down the Fire Nation.

There are two different ways to play Crossroads Of Destiny. You can either dive into that story-driven campaign or you can play through a variety of twelve combat challenges which have been inspired by the Avatar stories.

Throughout your story, you'll use the experience that you've learned to unlock new skills and choose the destiny that you want to forge towards. That also comes with a whole host of unique character abilities that allow you to get the feel of Ang and his companions. As well as finding yourself playing alongside the iconic heroes, you'll also get to know all manner of villains and allies from the TV series too!

The game comes with a gorgeous-looking book and cards which feature artwork from the show. Your characters are also represented by a selection of acrylic stands (yes to not having to paint miniatures!).

This seems like the perfect way to dive into playing games set in the Avatar universe. The cooperative nature of the story of Ang and his companions matches up well with what we're seeing here from Crossroads Of Destiny.
