Frog the What Show Progress of Their Slaughterball Molds
January 7, 2015 by dracs
News continues to appear on the development of Slaughterball and this time we get an update on the progress of the molds themselves.
Below we see a Sword of Damocles Butcher and Slasher, currently in the progress of being transformed from 3D prints to the detailed final production molds.
The clear miniatures are the initial 3D prints, while the grey models are the pre-mold samples. These are already showing a lot more detail than the low detail prototypes we have seen previously. Hopefully we will soon be able to see what the final models are like.
On top of these, the last finished render for the Legion has turned up, this time of the mighty Butcher.
As I said when we saw the initial WiP for the Legion Butcher, I think this might be the best of the Butcher models as the relative lack of power armour makes the proportions appear a bit more realistic that the Butchers of other teams.
Do you think the progress Slaughterball is making looks promising? Are there any changes to any of the sculpts you want to see before they're finally produced?

I take it the changes are made for casting purposes.
manpug, you are correct. These changes are made to make it possible to get the plastic out of the molds.
