Fist & Falcon for Battletech
April 18, 2011 by beerogre
Catalyst Game Labs have launched and easy to play starter kit for Battletech to get you slap-bang into the action... here's what they have to say.
The Kewran Wolfhounds
As part of the Twenty-Fifth Arcturan Guard, Hauptmann Michael Guillaume’s Wolfhounds Company faces its first trial by fire on the raging battlefields of Great X.
The Pursuing Peregrines
Forged in the dawning years of the Jihad, Star Captain Ingried’s Binary of battle-hardened veterans seeks its own glory in his Clan’s latest war against the Lyran Alliance.
BattleTech Starter: Fist and Falcon brings players a new and exciting way to jump into the BattleTechuniverse. As conflict erupts anew on the Lyran-Falcon border during the early years of the Jihad, two untested commands clash. Including the brief history and personal dossiers of the members of these two forces, this PDF provides scenarios and special rules compatible with BattleTech games using Total Warfare and A Time of War, complete with record sheets for their ’Mechs and characters alike.
It's all looking very exciting on the Battletech front... we'll be having a deeper look into the whole Battletech experience soon.

I might pick this up. I just got back into BattleTech. Now I just need to convince people to play.
Bring back Wolf’s Dragoons and why box the Jade Falcons and the Lyran together that’s abit of a odd mach.
They did bring back the Dragoons, including a new Black Widow Company. Look for “Wolf and Blake” Starterbook.
It was Lyran half of FedCom that Clan Jade Falcon attacked during Operation Revival (Clan Invasion) and they keep attacking and making raids against Lyran Alliance so this makes sense.
