Fantasy Flight Launch Nexus Ops
September 29, 2011 by dracs
Fantasy Flight Games are launching the board game Nexus Ops, a game of corporate violence and alien battles.
"The year is 2315, and in a galaxy ruled by profit, unscrupulous corporations scour the stars for any marketable resource. Now, a small rubium-rich moon has attracted the attention of four competing companies, who have wasted no time harnessing the moon’s strange indigenous life forms for their own ends."
In order to win you must get a hold of the rubium producing areas of the map and defeat those corporations seeking to take the rubium for themselves.
In order to gain the strength to defeat your opponents you will have to sacrifice some of your precious rubium in order to enlist the moon's indigenous creatures.
The map itself is randomly formed through the use of modular hexagonal tiles. This shifting play setting means you will have to adjust your tactics for every game.
What do you think of this game? Will any of you be picking up a box? IF you get your hands on this be sure to let us know what you think.

Looks like another beautifully rendered high quality product from FFG. Their products are great altnernatives from the norm for a gaming group session. Would be interested to see a review and how it plays. Gonna get my first FFG before the end of the yr. Looking at MANSIONS OF MADDNESS first.
I wonder if the game play is the same as the Avalon Hill game, or if they changed it up a bit. I’m hoping they pick up Robo Rally as well, since Wizards of the Coast (which Avalon Hill is a part of) doesn’t seem to do anything with it.
no glow in the black light minis?? sad panda
